Luke's POV

Needless to say, Ashton was quite thrilled when he saw that my Instagram profile pic was of us. I don't know why I did that in the first place, probably because I didn't have any other picture to put.

We hung out until he had to leave, which was around eight o'clock, about an hour ago. Currently I was messing around my phone, when I stumbled upon something.

YouTube.

I knew all about it, and I have been on there to listen to multiple songs, but now it started looking more appealing to me... Like I should make an account of my own and upload videos.

I shook my head at the ridiculous thought. Now that Ashton had introduced me to Instagram, it seems as though all types of social media interests me.

I began humming a tune to a song, more specifically, I Miss You by Blink 182. My humming turned into singing, and I actually felt as though I was performing. I never sing often, but sometimes I can't control it.

Suddenly the door open, and my mum entered. "Hey Luke - wow, you have an incredible voice!"

I immediately stopped singing, feeling flustered that my mum had caught me. I disliked singing in front of people, it made me nervous.

"What do you want, mum?" I asked, trying to take away the attention she had put on my singing.

"I came in here to tell you something," she says, walking over to sit on my bed. "But now I'm more interested in you. Please continue singing, sweetheart."

I shook my head, staring at the floor. "No, I'm not really comfortable doing that."

She gave me a disappointed look. "Oh, please? Trust me, Luke, you have a really phenomenal voice. You could really get somewhere doing that."

I huffed. "Only in my dreams."

"Don't be so insecure about it," she advised me. "Be confident, because if I liked it, everybody would like it."

I chuckled. "You're my mum, you have to say you like it."

She shakes her head quickly. "That's not true. I really believe you have true talent, and I have never believed in anything more in my life."

I smile. "Thanks, mum. What were you going to tell me before?"

She looked puzzled. "Huh?"

"You claimed that you had to tell me something, and then you heard me singing," I reminded her.

"Oh!" she laughs. "Next Saturday, Ashton and his brother and sister are going to sleep over, since their mum has to go away for a business meeting of some sort."

"Oh..." I wasn't quite sure how to feel about that. "Is he sleeping in my room?"

"Yes," my mum answered. "You don't mind, right?"

"No, I don't mind," I assured her, actually being completely honest.

The week has gone by very quickly, it being filled with Ashton's excitement over our sleepover while I attempted to tutor him, but our session would go down the drain when I gave in and chatted with him about what we would do that day.

Right now, I was organizing my room a bit, since Ashton was going to be here in a few minutes. I was deciding if he should sleep in the same bed as me, or on an air mattress on the floor. I sure as hell won't be sleeping on the floor.

My door bursted open, Ashton appearing at shouting, "I'm here!"

I chuckled. "Hi, Ash."

"Hi, Lukey!" he grins, walking closer to me.
