I sat down with my family and everything went on like any normal day.

Since it was Chris's birthday we passed our presents to him and got ready for the birthday party that happens every year.

The party would start at 12 so I just stayed in my bedroom. It has gotten more boring with each passing day. The system won't even tell me what I have to do.

I flopped down on my bed and closed my eyes. I just want to take a nap.

Suddenly the door slams open, and maids start coming in. I stared at them for a long time.

"Young miss, it's time to get ready."

Wait... how is it time to get ready? It hasn't even been 10 minutes since I left the dining room.

I crawled to the farthest corner of my bed. I didn't want to get ready. Those parties are the absolute worse. All you do is just walk and talk... maybe sometimes dance, but it's not like I'm gonna dance or anything.

The maids got closer to me. The closer they got, the further I moved away. I looked for a way to get out of the room.

I couldn't teleport since kids don't use magic until they're 6, and I couldn't just run out because the maids were guarding the door. My next option was to jump out of the window and hope that something or someone is there to break my fall.

I started running to the window, but then someone grabbed me by the waist. My clothes were thrown off of me, and I was tossed in a bathtub.

[What did I miss, master?]

'Now is not the time, Iris!"

'(´-﹏-';) When did she get so mean?'

'Iris, did you say something?'

[Nope!]

The voice stopped talking. 'How long has it been since Iris been talking?'

[Approximately one week, three days, 10 hours, 58 minutes and 19 seconds. 20 seconds, 21, 22, 23 ,24-]

'Can you stop counting? It's hurting my head.'

[Okay...]

I stayed in my bathtub until I heard a knock on the door. I got out of the tub, grabbed a towel and walked out.

Outside of the bathroom, I saw the maids picking between a few dresses.  I walked up to the one closest to me.

"I'll wear this one."

All the maids stopped arguing an got me dressed.

It took about one hour to get ready, and I only have 40 minutes left

[To be precise, you have took 1 hour and 3 minutes, and only have 47 minutes left, master]

'Why are you even counting?!'

[I-i start counting automatically. M-master, I'm sorry. I won't count anymore]

'Why are you even apologizing? Sigh, I wonder what happened to the monotone voice before.'

[While I was gone, I got an upgrade. Want to know what it is?]

'Can you tell me later? I don't have time for it yet.'

[...master, what do you mean you don't have time?]

'I'm not telling.'
