Two bullets can't kill a coyote?

Pack Leader jumped into action, leading the rest of the coyotes. Drake had found another way out and got the coyotes to fight the army with him.

As he brought his whip down on a boy of around thirteen, he saw Pack Leader trying to eat a girl who looked ready to rip Pack Leader's head off. She produced a gun and started intermittently whacking and shooting at Pack Leader with it. Pack Leader snarled at her and lunged at her throat. Even though she had already managed to shoot the coyote a couple of times, he wasn't going to give up.

Great , thought Consuela, as Pack Leader leapt at her throat.

Of course, as soon as the fighting started, Taylor had bounced safely back home, intending to see how everything was going a few minutes later, and so she bounced a few minutes later right next to Drake whipping everyone around him in a circle.

She bounced back out and was about to go and do something else less dangerous before she realised what she had failed to see before!

She, Taylor, could be super-important, not annoying and totally heroic!! Well, more than she was before, anyway, of course she was already all of those things.

She grabbed a gun from somebody walking past her house, bounced back to the battle, and started fighting, bouncing around the entire time.
