Chapter 16: Blood Harmony

Narrator~Chan's POV!

Three weeks later

Mason sat in his kitchen reviewing his notes about Zane's behavior when the doorbell rings. He gets up and opens it.

Zara is standing on his doorstep, glaring.

"Hey Sweetheart," he say.

She scowled. "I'm not your 'sweetheart' Mason."

Mason smiles and pulls her inside.

Above him, Zane hears his sister's voice. He wants to call out to her, but knows if he does Mason might hurt his sister. After all, Mason was a Yandere now.

"So, to what do I owe the pleasure Zara?" Mason asks.

"Ugh, as much as I hate to say this, I need your help," Zara says. "I can't find Zane. He's been gone for almost a month now, and I was wondering if you've seen him."

Mason smiles to himself.

"Why are you smiling?!" Zara shouted. "The person I love most is missing!"

"Sorry Zar. It's just...um..." Mason thinks. "Zane is here. He came to ask me something."

Zara raises an eyebrow.

"Okay then, take me to him," she says.

Mason nods and walks downstairs. Zara follows slowly, giving her ex-boyfriend space.

"Wait here," Mason says, standing outside a soundproof door.

Zara scowls and nods. Mason opens the door and closes it fast.

"Listen Zane," Mason says, Undoing Zane's bonds with a key. "Play along, or I'll make sure your life is cut short."

He pulls a potion out of his pocket and drinks it. A minute later, Zane stares at a replica of himself. Then, in Zane's voice, Mason screamed.

Zara's POV

I hear Zane's voice scream and open the door. Two Zane's look back at me. The one on the left didn't have his mask, and the one on the right looked battered and bruised.

"Okay, which of you is my brother?" I ask.

"I am," The one on my left says.

The one on the right hesitates, then answers. "No, I am."

"Figures we'd be in this situation," I say. "Too bad I know your plan Mason."

Both of them look at me in shock.

"Your plan is to kill Zane and and then replace him as the one I love most," I state, trying to sound bored. "Oh, and somehow make me believe that you're Zane. Did I get everything?"

They both stared at me.

"I- wait, hold on."

I dissociate with Zion. He takes control, like we planned.

"Now, you both know my name is Zion. You both know that i'm sick of Mason Conner," Zion says. "So, I brought a little present for him."

He pulls our gun out of my pocket.

The Zane on the left grins. The Zane on the right looks nervously at the gun.

We dissociate again and I come back.

"Thank you Zion. Now, the question is; who am I going to shoot?"

Both Zane's pointed at each other.

"Hmm... what's my favorite color?" I ask quickly.

"Ice blue," they both answer.

"Favorite food?"

"Chocolate-chip Brownies."

I smile. "What was the first song I wrote?"

The one on the left smiles confidently.

"Love The Way You Lie. You wrote it right after you broke up with Mason."

I grin and look at the Zane on my right, raising an eyebrow.

"Hey Brother. You...you wrote it for me," he says.

I smile, snap my fingers, and my guitar appears. I start playing, and the Zane on the right sings with me, and Mason, still looking like Zane, scowls.

I set down my guitar and point my gun at Mason. Zion takes over.

"I warned you not to mess with my girl," he says. Then, he pulls the trigger. There's a loud bang, and then Mason slumps on the floor, still looking like Zane.
