I was awakened by the chirping sound of the birds. Ang sarap ng simoy ng hangin, sarap matulog ulit. The view in here is so nice. Hindi ako nagsisisi kung bakit ito yung kinuha kong condo unit. I just moved in 2 days ago kaya medyo masyado pa akong na aamaze sa nakikita ko. My room is on the 4th floor of the building. Maaga akong nagising ngayon dahil hindi na ulit ako makabalik sa pagtulog.
I immediately opened the window and went to the bathroom para maligo to make myself presentable kahit paano. Nagtimpla na din ako ng coffee para hindi na antukin and then I sat on my study table.
Nag iisip ako kung ano ba ang magandang gawin ngayong araw. Tutal it's my day off at wala naman talaga akong ginagawa. What if I go shopping but who will going to be my shopping buddy? I was in the middle of thinking what to do when suddenly my phone rang.
"Yes?" masungit kong bungad sa caller lalo na't unknown ang nakalagay sa screen.
"Taray mo naman beh. Katakot ka ha?"
Boses pa lang kilala ko na kaya napatawa na lamang ako sa sinabi.
"What is it Andreimitrixia? It's too early to call someone."
"Ew. Stop calling me that name. Makes me want to punch you. Just kidding," pagbabanta niya.
"Just tell me what do you want Trixia. Para matapos na tong nonsense convo," may halong inis sa boses ko.
"Okay okay chill. I just want you to know na..."
"Na?"
"Magiging ninang ka na."
"What do you mean?" is she possibly preg-
"I'm pregnanntttt!!!!" nailayo ko na lamang ang aking cellphone dahil sa sigaw ni Trixia.
"Omg!" I uttered.
"Congrats Trixia! I'm happy for you,"naiiyak na sambit ko.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit naiiyak ako. Maybe because finally, my childhood bestfriend is going to have a family? Noong college kami ay saksi ako sa mga epic love life niya. Nagbebreakdown siya everytime na may makikipagbreak sa kanya. She even attempted suicide but good thing I was there to make her feel better.
"Thank youuu Zaizai-" I cut her off.
"It's Vian. Stop calling me Zaizai. I hate that one."
"You know what, let's meet. Namiss na din naman kita kaya sige na,"pagpipilit niya.
She's been in Canada for almost 4 years. Doon na din siya nakapangasawa and sayang kasi wasn't able to go to her wedding. Di ko nakita kung pano siya umiyak na may tumutulong sipon.
"Alright. Just meet me at the Rob's place."
"Sige," she said and ended the call.
I finished the remaining amount of coffee on my cup at tumungo sa aking closet para makahanap ng masusuot. The yellow shirt with a printed name on it caught my attention. It says, "chill" which is printed in the middle part of the shirt. Maybe, I'll just wear this one and also a jeans?
After a few minutes, I'm done changing my clothes. I went near the mirror to see if how's my look.
"Nice," komento ko. I checked my phoe to see if what time is it. It's just 8:24 a.m so i still have a lot of time.
I brushed my hair using my hands and after awhile I decided to apply a light make up.
Before going out, ni-lock ko muna ang unit ko at umalis na. While I was waiting for the elevator, I saw a familiar guy. A guy whom I used to be with. Ngunit nawala din naman agad siya kaya di na ako nag abala pang ilibot ang aking mata para mahanap siya.
Imposibleng siya yun Bel. Remember, friends nalang kayo.
"We shoudn't bring back the past," pagpapakalma ko sa sarili.
Stupid. I shouldn't get affected by his presence ughhh!
