So this was around the same time I thought of the "Crona's poem" chapter, and my brain did a complete 180 with the themes.

But enough questioning my sanity,

I wanna make you cry a river^_^.

So let's (finally) get started.

My conspiracy starts waaaaaaaay back to scary-mask Shinigami. What happens is that he meets a girl (no duh) when he saves her from a preKishin. They start this weird relationship

between a mere mortal and a Death God. They start getting serious after a while, and around that time another powerful (like, Masamune meets Mifune with extra Stein in the mix) pre kishin comes and attack while they are being the two lovebirds they are, and sadly, she dies.

But just to add onto the pain, they were talking about how having a family would work out between them a little while before that.

Now remember, it was said that shinigami-sama took apart of his soul to create Kid, amiright?

So, the question is, what are the other parts taken from?

The lady's soul of course!

Lemme explain:

The preKishin did kill Ms. Lady, but wasn't able to have her soul because Shinigami-sama had to take what was rightfully his. (If you don't understand, what I'm trying to say is that he killed the preKishin before it could have Ms. lady's soul)

So this means that kid has many of the traits that Ms. Lady has.

He is like, a living reincarnation of Ms. Lady.

DEATH THE KID IS THE SON THAT LORD DEATH WAS NOT ABLE TO HAVE!!!

Do you get it now?

The reason behind DTK's completely opposite personality that is NOT Shinigami's?

Shinigamis-sama created Death the Kid in honor of Ms. Lady.
