Sunday 6 October 2014

So today I had a football match against C.T. Gaels. At bloody eleven in the morning. Sure, half of the team aren't even awake at that time, never mind ready and able to play a physically demanding game of football. Plus, we lost, like we lose every match, but we all came off that pitch saying we played to the best of our ability and did as well as we were able to as a team.

I got back home at around one, then I had lunch, tidied my room and went down to Cloondara to hang out with some of the girls. I called for Ruthie, but she was in Dublin at a kickboxing tournament, then I checked was Erin there, but she was in Ballymote for Emma's birthday. Finally, as a last resort, I went to see was Eimear there, and she was. Except she was literally walking out the door as her family and herself were all going to Ballina.

I ended up at my cousin Katelyn's house, the other side of Ballisodare village.

I hung out with her and we watched Ghost Dad and The Inbetweeners Movie. We messed around for a while after that and then Dad came to pick me up and bring me home.

I started my English story, it was about a boy who had a secret that he never wanted anyone to know, but then he made one mistake and everybody found out. What the secret was, I am not going to tell you, but I might post it up later if you would like me to.

We had another movie night as Matthew was sick, and we watched Superman:Man Of Steel, the only reason I agreed being that the teenage Clark was seriously sexy plus when he is an adult he has a strong, defined, muscular body. We bought Iced Caramels and Fudge Pieces to eat, but the fudge was disliked by all of us so only the Caramel sweets were actually noticed. It was pretty fun to be honest.

We started our first project in Technology today. We have to make a photo frame, using a strip wire, a filer, a vice and a sheet of glass. I got mine filed and lined, but I still have to melt, fold and decorate it.

We had our first baking lesson during double Home Ec., making scones. Alyssa and I were partners, and we got lots of scones, but none of them rose for some reason. They still tasted pretty nice though, even if they were a bit on the dry side.

After school I had basketball with Ms. McCann. We were all starving and tired after and I remembered I still had some scones left over, but when I took them out, the five second years that were still there took one each and then went on a rampage around the school looking for butter and jam until they found some. It was actually pretty funny.

After school today we had soccer training. Some of the P.L.C.'s were coaching us and it was great fun. We practised dribbling, penalties and then had a mini match at the end. Them Erin and I were texting my Dad for ages to see if we could bring her to basketball that same evening, then we were texting Erin's Mum, Patricia, to see if I could go to her house after soccer to save Dad having to stop off at two separate places.

We had basketball from half six to eight, and got punishment drills for not listening. For the first time in forever (Frozen Quote☺️) we actually played a proper match at the end. We won by three points, woohoo.

Then I went home and wrote more of my essay, and then just wrote this out.

Today at school we had a gaelic blitz for all of the classes except the final one plus ten minutes of the second last class. We played Tubbercurry, the Ursuline (Our Rivals) and Swinford. We couldn't get proper positions for our team members for most of the matches, bar the final one against Swinford, which we won by four points.
