Maybe it was the words dad said last night lingering in my mind, or maybe the fact that I honestly couldn't be more happy to see her today. I don't think that I have ever wanted to see someone more in my life. I had set my alarms earlier last night, so I could get a little run in prior to heading to school that way there won't be any more scenes again. When I made it outside the ground was covered with a slight dusting of snow from the night before. While the air had a crisp chill to it. I started off towards the woods, the sky was still dark. Light just barely hits the tree tops in the opposite direction. All I did was keep running, I could feel myself getting faster and faster. And I let my wolf take control.

After about an hour of running I found myself back at the house, the sun had risen. It was about 7:00. Dad's light was on in his office,as was Ashton's. I went inside, heading to the kitchen. I made myself a bowl of cereal. And brought it up to my room. I sat on my bed scrolling through my phone while eating. One notification peaked my interest the most, a text from none other than Emma.

" Thanks for yesterday, I hope my dad wasn't too harsh on you last night. Thank you for helping me study :) " I couldn't help but smile when I read it.

"Of course, no problem anytime. Do you want anything when I head into town to get you today?" I sent as a reply, setting down my bowl and phone and heading toward the bathroom. The cold water hit my skin from the shower. Nothing better in the morning then a run and a shower to cool down. After my shower and getting dressed I headed back to my room, to put on my shoes. I grabbed my shoes and checked my phone walking out of my room.

" No thank you tho. I'll see you in a little bit. " I read, and smiled. I headed downstairs, to the kitchen I grabbed my keys. Dad and Ashton were both in the kitchen.

" Don't wait up for me tonight." I said stepping out of the kitchen to the front walk.

" Okay." Dad replied.

" Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Ashton yelled out at me. With that I grabbed my keys and headed out of the house. With my bag in the backseat of my car, I grabbed the blanket for Emma. I took the normal route into town, like I always do the roads were a bit more slick today. A thin amount of ice covered the road. I turned down the road that Emma's house was on, only to see her walking down the street towards my direction. I looked at the clock, 7:14, I'm not even late. I'm early what could be going on, as I approached her. I could tell there was an upset look on her face. I pulled the car off of the road and onto the side of the street I grabbed the blanket and got out of the car.

As I got closer to her I noticed she wasn't wearing a jacket. She walked with her head down, and her arms wrapped around her. Soft sobs left her. " Emma, What happened? Are you okay?'' I said wrapping the blanket around her, and pulling her to my chest. She collapsed into my arms, crying. No longer were they silent sobs, but now a fit of tears and loud sobs.

" It's okay, It's Okay." I said rubbing her back. I lifted her up into my arms, and carried her to the car.

I sat down on my side of the car, with her sitting in my lap still crying.

I lifted the armrest, and placed her so her feet were where it once was. She moved so her head was then buried into my chest. I started to drive off. Emma seemed to calm down a bit the further we got from town. I knew she wouldn't want to go to classes today, not after this. Which makes sense, we came up to a stop sign. I pulled out my phone and sent a text to dad saying I was coming home and if he could stay in his office that would be nice.

" I don't want to go to school." Emma said in a small whisper, between sobs.

" I know, we aren't going to school. You're going to be okay. " I said, rubbing her back and pulling her closer to me.
