New Lovers

*Nightmare Steve's Point Of View*

"Dark!" I yell out. After waiting a moment I get off my throne Dark Steve made me and I go to search the castle for him. As I walk the halls I see two familiar faces making out. I clear my throat and both Steves turn towards me.

"Yes, sir!" Reverse say.

"Yes, King!" Shadow yells.

"You know I don't think Dark Steve would approve of his little brother making out with this random." I say rolling my eyes.

"I have a free will." Shadow says and I just roll my eyes.

"Whatever, have you seen Dark, I need him." I mean quite literally, I love him, you know even a villain deserves to be loved and deserves a lover.

"I think he's in his room writing the letters you requested, sir." Reverse says and I make my way to Dark's room.

I knock on the door. "It's open!" I hear him yell and I open the door and walk in. He turns around with a surprised face. "Sir! I'm sorry I'm not yet finished all the notes, I just need one more!" He says with panic.

"I'm not here for the notes, I'm here for you." I say and I see him blush.

"Sir, what do you mean by that?" He ask.

"I love you, Dark Steve." I say and step closer to him.

"I love you as well." He says and I push him to the wall. I pin his arms to the wall and smash my lips on his and he immediately kisses back. Our lips move in sync, I let go of his arms as he wraps them around my neck. I grab hold of his small waist and lift him off the ground. A little confession turns into a long and sweet make out session.

We stay there for a while until we break away for air.

"Nightmare King, this isn't right."

"Why not?" I ask.

"Because, we shouldn't be together, you said yourself, after you take over the realm you're going to destroy me and all the other Steves in your way." He says. It hurts me as I do remember saying that, but that was before I fell in love.

"I know I said that, but I love you and we will rule this realm together. Just us." I say and kiss him again and he kisses me back.

We pull way and he smirks at me, it's the closest to a smile I can get from him.

"Well, are we going to make this official?" Dark ask.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" I ask him.

"Yes!" He says as we kiss again.

*Reverse Steve's Point Of View*

"Reverse?" Shadow calls for me.

"Yes, babe?" I reply.

"How long are we going to stay apart of this? I mean you know it's wrong." Shadow says pulling me in a room.

"Just a little longer, we need to sneak out when everyone is asleep." I tell him reminding him of the plan.

"Yeah, but what about Rainbow and Blue? They just think we're completely evil!" Shadow says getting a little upset.

I kiss his forehead and take his hand. "We just need to try." I say.

"And what about Dark? If we have to fight, either I have to kill him or he's going to kill me! And you know I love my brother." Shadow complains.

"We May have to leave him, he's loyal to Nightmare, and you know he loves Nightmare." I say to him.

"Yeah, But I just don't want to abandon him." Shadow says a little upset and he looks down avoiding my eyes.

"We will find a way." I say and lift his chin up and kiss his soft lips. "Maybe we can convince him to join us." I suggest.

"Yeah, we can try." Shadow says as I pull him into my arms. We stand in each other's arms for a good while just talking with his head resting on my chest.

^Time Skip To Night^

"Shadow?" I call for him.

"Yes?" He says back to me.

"You ready to convince him?" I ask.

"Yeah, I think."

"Even if he doesn't come we still run right?" I ask.

"Yeah." He replies. We walk out of our room to head to Dark's.

"Dark?" I call as I knock on the door. He opens the door and lets us in as he closes it behind us.

"What do you need?" He says crossing his arms.

"We are out! We are leaving Nightmare, you in?" Shadow ask.

"Hell no!" Dark yells. "I'm not leaving my boyfriend!"

"Dammit Dark!" I yell.

"Sorry not sorry! So if you're out then leave and never come back! We don't need you anyways!" Dark yells at us and Shadow starts to break.

"Whatever." He simply says tears escaping his eyes.

"Why are you crying?" Dark ask.

"Why would you care!?" I yell.

Shadow takes a deep breath in and releases the air. He then sings. "In the early days I looked up to a strong and fearless face. We would paint the pictures of our lives, Before they got erased. And now it seems so distant like a man, A constant memory, I'm standing at the crossroads of us, And I can't believe. Oh, you used to carry me around, Oh, I tried all I can do but now. I can't cry for you anymore, I'm turning 'round, It's changing now, I can't wake you up. Now the memories fading out."

"So I'm leaving now, I'm letting you go. Wishing and praying, But there's nothing I can do. I've tried, but I can't resurrect, The person I once knew. And memories of old faces, Left us in an unfamiliar place, I've tried to still remember, That strong and fearless face."

"Oh, you used to carry me around, Oh, I tried all I can do but now, I can't cry for you anymore. I'm turning 'round, It's changing now, I can't wake you up. Now the memories fading out. So I'm leaving now, I'm letting you go, I'm letting you go, I can't reach for you anymore."

"I'm giving out, I'm breathing out. I can't mourn for you and I know, You're still around.
Though it's hard now, I'm letting you go. I'm letting you go." Shadow finishes and all three of us are in tears, Shadow breaking completely.

"Shadow..." Dark tries to speak but Shadow just runs out and I assume probably soon out the castle door. I glare at Dark with hatred for hurting my love, then I run after Shadow.
