it's nine in the morning and i'm on a flight to New York. my parents work a lot, and get transferred to multiple places around the world. they wanted me to be safe, though. in a place where i don't have to leave every month.

they thought it'd be a grand idea to send me to a boarding school half way across the globe. i'm not complaining, i guess. i just don't want to be away from my home and my friends. i promise to still call my friend Millie every night. i met her in Spain when my parents were sent there. we became really close and she's my best friend on this planet.

i landed in new york and got a cab to the boarding school. it didn't take long surprisingly. it smelled wet, which i didn't like, but thought i'd get used to it. it's pretty though, there's big skyscrapers and very fashionable people and a lot of food vendors. when the ride was finished, i got my luggage, which included my whole closet, and walked into the school.

ATTAWAY ARTS OF NEW YORK

its very large and quite beautiful. everyone seems preppy, which could be good or bad. i walked up to the front office and was greeted by a girl with shoulder length brown hair and a beautiful smile.
"Hello, welcome to Attaway Arts! I'm Natalia Dyer, your counselor. I assume your checking in, correct?" she asked. she seemed really sweet.
"Hi! yes, i'm Lilia Buckingham." i gave her a soft smile and she nodded and handed me a sheet of paperwork. i stared at it.
"Great, we've been expecting you! you're in room 512, your roommates are Ms. Leblanc and Ms. Skinner! it's lovely to have you! We will go over ground rules on the first day, which is Tuesday. Monday, you learn your way around the school. Have a blessed day!" she smiled and i thanked her and walked away.

i hoped so hard that these girls would be nice. i tend to get anxious around people i don't know. i walked down a long hallway of dorms and finally reached 512. i inhaled and knocked on the door. i heard a few giggles before the door opened.

in front of me stood and girl with blond hair and perfect eyes that you could get lost in for miles. she had a smile perfected by her pink shiny lips. she wore a baby blue crop top and some vintage high waisted jeans and a denim jacket. she had lovely eyelashes.

"Hello, i'm Emily, my friends call me Em. You must be Lilia! We've been so excited to meet you."
the girl smiled. Behind her was a girl with brown hair and a nice smile. they both seemed like people i could get used to.

"H-Hi, yes, I'm Lilia. My friends call me Lils. it's really nice to meet you."
why the hell do i have to stutter? she probably thinks i'm weird now. great first impression, Lilia. you really won them over there!

"don't be nervous around us! we're really chill. now come in! it's quite cold in the hall."
she giggled and dragged me inside the room.

when you walk in you have a large room with a couch and a love seat with a table in between them and a large television hanging over it. a bathroom to the left and a walk in closet. after you turn to your left, you have a big  kitchen with a bar and a table. in the next room. through a door to your right, you have another quite large bedroom with a bathroom and a closet. there was two beds and a television some drawers. right beside of it, was another bedroom set up the same with only one bed. i was going to absolutely love this place, i could tell.

"I like to sleep in my own room, privacy i guess. So, you'll be rooming with Em! I hope that's okay... i'm Annie by the way."
the other girl spoke with a smile.

"That's more than okay. Thank you!"
i gave them both a small smile. emily took my bags and layed them on the bed to the left with a baby pink comforter.

"Okay! You can unpack later, for now, we should get to know each other!" she smiles, "let's go sweetheart!"
she led me to the living room and annie had already popped popcorn and had some chocolate for us.

"So, tell us everything. Your whole life story!" Annie said, and i laughed a bit. Em looked at me intently and smiled, almost like she was studying every flaw on my face. i tried to block that out and started to talk.

"well, my name is Lilia Buckingham and i'm sixteen years old. Ever since i was little my parents have been sent place to place across the world because of their line of work. They didn't want me to have to change schools and get new friends every month or so, so they sent me to a school where i can spend the rest of my life at. I have a brother named Jack and two sisters named Maddie and Kenzie. Jack has graduated and Maddie and Kenzie live in Los Angelos, so i'm all on my own here. um...my favorite color is pink and i love whales. that's about it."
i smiled and emily did as well. God, she has such a contagious smile. it's beautiful.
"okay my turn!" annie yelled,
"okay, i'm annie, i'm fifteen and i was sent here because my parents want me to have a higher education. i have a little sister Haley and a big brother Caleb, but he passed sadly. But, Haley is still in elementary school. My favorite color is yellow and i love...koalas i guess."
we all laughed and i gazed at Emily. she looked at me and we both looked into each other's eyes. i try to snap myself out of it, but her eyes held me captive. i don't know what's wrong with me. i've never felt this way, especially towards a girl. Emily blinked and stared off for a second then started talking.
"Uh, um. I'm Em, and i'm here because my parents aren't ever home and they sent me off. because, when they are home they don't want to be apart of my life. because they think i'm different. which, i guess i am, but they're still my parents. i have a sister named Lauren and she's graduated. my favorite color is blue and i love turtles!"

After saying all of that, she still managed to put a smile on that pretty little face of hers. i felt so bad for her, why didn't her parents want her?

Who couldn't want an angel like her?
