Proposal

Ashley's POV

"Jerome's out of the hospital, should we go see him?" Mitch asks."Sure" I say."I'll get my keys." he says walking into the living room."Let's go" he says entwining our hands as we walk outside.

(Time skip to Jerome's house)

"How are you feeling?" Mitch asks Jerome."I'm fine just a little sad." He says."Why don't we play some video games?" he asks Jerome."Ok" he says.

(5 hours later)

"Well I think Ashley and I should get going" Mitch says standing up."Are you ready to go Ashley?" he asks."Yeah" I say standing up."Do you wanna go somewhere?" He asks when we get in his car."Sure, where are we going?" I ask."You'll see, but first we need to go change into proper clothes." he says.

(After the date)

"I assume we're going home now." I say."One more place." he says."Where?" I ask."You'll see" he says."What's with all the surprises?" I ask confused."Because I'm mysterious." he says making me roll my eyes. We drive for about 15 minutes until we arrive at a cliff overlooking the ocean just as the sun was setting."Mitch it's beautiful." I say staring in awe."Would you care to dance?" he says taking my hand."I'd love to." I say as we begin to dance. He spun we around and dipped me giving me a long passionate kiss. He pulls me back up and picks me up and carries me near the edge of the cliff as he sets me down. I look at the ocean the water sparkling as the sun sets as I see Mitch get on one knee."Ashley Marie Surcombe I've loved you ever since the day I met you and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you so please will you marry me?" he says as my jaw drops in awe."YES!" I yell wrapping my arms around his neck. I couldn't believe I was going to spend the rest of my life with the man I love I was going to be a mother and it all happened because he decided to stand up for me. It's been 53 years since that day and I'm now laying on my death bed Mitch had died last month and now I'll be gone too. I look up at the ceiling and close my eyes it's been a good life and now it's all over.
