Ashley's POV
"Mitch I really need to get home." I say getting up."Ok I'll see you later." he says. I leave his house and walk back home but when I get there I'm shocked. I see the police and an ambulance outside my house."What happened?" I ask one officer."Ma'am do you live here?" the officer asks."Yes" I say "Well your father killed himself last night." the officer says. I start tearing up and run away. I take out my phone and call Mitch.
Ash=Ashley M=Mitch
M:Hello
Ash:(She's crying) Mitch
M:What's wrong Ashley?
Ash:My dad killed himself.
M:Ashley I think it's best if you come to my house I don't think I can comfort you over the phone.
Ash:Ok
Ashley's POV
I run back to Mitch's house and run to his room and he immediately hugs me."It's ok Ashley I'll help you get through this." he says rubbing my back. We sit down on his bed and he does his best to calm me down."Thank you Mitch." I say looking up at him.
Mitch's POV
I walk downstairs and see my mom in the kitchen "Why's your shirt wet?" she asks."Ashley's dad killed himself." I say looking at the floor."Well you tell her she can stay here as long as she wants." she says."Thank you mom." I say. I walk back upstairs and walk into my room and I see Ashley crying into a pillow."Ashely it's ok my mom said you can stay here as long as you want." I say rubbing her back."Mitch" she says "Yeah?" I say."I don't wanna be alone." she says."You don't have to be alone. You'll never have to be alone." I say pulling her close to me."Thank you Mitch." she says. A few hours later Ashley falls asleep in my arms then I feel tired and fall asleep.
Mitch's Dad's POV
I decide to check on Mitch and his girlfriend but when I open the door I see them asleep with Ashley in Mitch's arms."They seem so happy together." I think to myself."What are you doing?" I hear Pat ask me."See for yourself." I say stepping to the side."They really love each other don't they." she says."I'm sure they have a future together." I say.
