"Why did you do this to yourself, Yuqi?" Sunmi yelled as she took a deep breath. "Answer me!" Her voice trembled.
"It-I-" Her words got caught in her throat, Yuqi couldn't think straight.
She felt her throat tighten as her lips quivered and her eyes bled with tears of despair.
Yuqi, girl who barely cried as a toddler, the girl who was always able to crack a smile, no matter how badly she was hurt, was now crying. Her spirit broken. Her soul shattered into millions of tiny pieces.
"Was I born to be abandoned?"
