"Wren, when are you going to learn to not be so clumsy," a familiar voice spoke into the large room.
"Probably never. You didn't come to dinner. Breakfast tomorrow?" I held a bag of ice to my head.
"No. But why not Wednesday. How's everyone?" Mariah, walked around the table.
"Good."
"Why are you lying?"
"Why would I? It's not like I need to tell you anything?"
"They know. Did you tell them?" She asked confused.
"I didn't tell them why. Your secret is safe. Dad is going to find out though, he's pressing me." I sighed.
"No. Don't do that. He can't know. He'll tell her. And she won't stop." She stopped in her place.
"I have to go now." I announced.
"Wren, you can't go now. I need you, we do. Please Rebecca, Becky you can't." Mariah pleaded.
"I have to go now. It's closing in. I'll be back to get more."
"No. Please. Wren, no. If you leave now, everything will be ruined."Mariah begged.
"I know, that's why I'm going."
