It was two in the morning if I remember right when my papa sent me to fetch the doctor. You see my mama was in labor and needed a doctor asap. I was the fastest in the house so my papa sent me to fetch the doctor.
"Now I did call the doctor but I'm afraid he'll get lost so can you help lead him here?" asked my papa.
"Yep!" I said running out the door.
Just as I turned the corner of our street I saw a man walking down the street but I paid no mind to him and continued to run. Before I knew it the man had knocked me over and I was fast first in the ground. I tried to get back up but the man continued walking and walked right on top of my back. Oh did the heel of his boots hurt on my back. I cried silently to myself after he started walking away. As I was crying and trying to get up I saw the doctor turn the corner on the opposite end of the one I turned from.
"Oh my goodness!" he said running to my aid.
He helped me sit up in a sitting position and cleaned my wounds. I, however, watched as the man that trampled me got yelled at by other people who had seen the whole thing.
"You need to pay for the trouble you just caused mister!" said a woman and the guy sighed.
He nodded and walked into a house with no knocker or doorbell. A few minutes later he walked out with a check. A woman looked at the check and shook her head.
"There is no way that check is yours! It's signed in another name!" she yelled.
An argument broke out a few minutes later the bank opened and the check was looked at. It indeed was real and the man left without another word. The doctor then helped me up and we went back to my mother who was in labor. She's about to have my baby brother.
If you were wondering if I am okay after my fall then yeah I'm fine. I'm bruised on the back from that mans heel but I'm okay.
