                                            Holly's Point Of View

There were a lot of people at the party and the music was really loud. It seemed fun. Marcella left my side to go talk with her friends, so I began to look around for Ryan. I saw that his car was parked in the driveway so I figured he must already be here.

I walked through the crowd of people in Lacey Revey's house and continued to look around.

I couldn't find him anywhere so I just went outside into Lacey's backyard where it was a bit quiet and nobody was back there.

"This party is a waste of time..." I mumbled to myself.

"Looks like someone's not having any fun." A guy had said as he walked out from the side of the house, making his way into the backyard.

"Ryan? Is that you?" I couldn't really see for the fact that there wasn't really any lights put out in the back yard. So all I had to see what the lighting from the house, and that was not quite enough to make out his face.

The guy laughed. He sounded like a lunatic. "Guess again." His voice was deep and it sounded like it had a bit of playfulness to it. It wasn't the good type of playfulness either. It was more like he was a predator on the hunt for pray. As he walked closer I could finally start to make out his face. The guy had a scar that started about an inch below his left eye. It cut down his face and over his lips, ending just a little bit before his chin. His hair was dark brown, but it was so dark it almost looked black. His eyes looked like they were a hazel color, but they were blood shot. He smiled but it wasn't a warm smile. It looked wicked and mean. On top of that his teeth looked as sharp and pointed as a sharks. As he got closer to me I took a step back. I panicked a little as I took even more steps back. He looked dangerous and I wanted to just get out of here.

"Don't be scared Holly. I just want a bite..." He said as his grin widened. "It will only hurt a little. I promise." At that he chuckled as he advanced toward me. I didn't know what to do. He then moved so fast that I couldn't even see him. One minute he was about a foot in front of me and then he was barely an inch away from me. He grabbed my arm and I tried to scream, but I was in too much of a shock and no sound came out of my mouth.

He started dragging me by my arm across Lacey's back yard. I was pulling hard trying to get out of his grip. He was so strong and it didn't seem to be doing anything. I could see the edge of the light from the house approaching. I had a thought that if I got out of the light casted by the house I was as good as gone. I don't know what came over me but I reached over and grabbed his hand with my free hand. When my hand touched his something happened..

My hand grabbed his and in the next instant he let go of my arm. I had felt some surge of energy in my hand and I turned it around to look at it. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with my hand... I then looked over at the man and his hand looked like it had just hit it through a glass window. It was full of small cuts and the blood was dripping down his fingers.

Did...did I do that? I looked back down at my hand in disbelief. There is no way I could do something like that. When I looked back at the man he looked really pissed. Shit...I am really in trouble now. Maybe if I knew how I did that I could do it again, but I don't know what I did. It just kind of happened. I heard the crunch of the grass as he started walking towards me again.

"You stupid bitch." He almost growled his words at me. I started backing up again. Just then I heard some more crunching. It sounded more like an animal's feet padding quickly in the grass. Great...this is only going to get worse isn't it? The man seemed to be too concentrated on me to notice that something else was coming towards us.
