"Fuu- fu.."
"Come on, Say it. You got it, Dayes."
"Fuu- yeah, no I can't."
Billy leaned backwards in frustration. "You were so close too." It was Billy's shift and two dinguses were slacking off all because Billy was attempting to teach Milo to say curse words. They weren't even on the Lifeguard chair. Barely even near it.
But, It was all the Hargrove boy's idea of course. "I'm sorry Billy... I'm just not that type of person." There was a small pause between the two boys. Billy stood up, facing the busy pool. "I mean no pressure, but what if you did it for me?" He shifted around dramatically.
Milo looked at him in
small discomfort, "But my papa-"
"He won't know, I promise, I just want to see you in your first time. I mean if you want." He looked at him for a second, he knew he had to do this...for Billy. He wanted to be his friend, and if this is what it took, so be it.He took a deep breath, "Ok... I can do it.", he was about to do it, his innocence will be gone forever. "F-Fu-Fu..ck. Fuck." he mumbled weakly. He felt nervous, butterflies in his stomach. what was he thinking? what would papa do if he found out?
He felt as he was crumbling.
Unlike Milo, A smile grew on Billy's
face as soon as he heard him say it. "Wow that was... beautiful.." Even though he felt terrible, he giggled. "Beautiful? I feel awful."
"Hey, don't worry. Your dad won't find out. I promise." His reassurance made him feel warm again. A reluctant smile appeared on the hesitant boys face. "That's better. Smiling looks good on you, Dayes." And there was that moment again, the sincere, cliche, genuine feelings. He wished that moment lasted forever... until..There was a sudden uproar from the pool. They were swarmings around this drowning child.
"Fuck." Milo let out. He was anxious, not knowing what to do.
Senselessly, he jumped instantly to save her, leaving Billy speechless.
He grabbed her and pulled her out. People surrounded them. "Billy!" he screamed causing the the other boy to react and run to them.Milo's head was going so fast, he felt he was going to pass out. Like air was just rushing out his body. He had to save this child but he didn't know CPR or nothing. He was useless. A useless idiot. He could see from the corner of his eye as Billy pushed through the crowd to get to him. "W-What do I do?" He asked quickly. The fear in his voice was evident. Everyone could see he was terrified. "I'll do CPR, I can try." The other boy, responded failing to sound confident. But he still was trying to be reassuring.
And that's when he started the steps. He softly pinched her nose and kept her head tilted back as he breathed into their mouth from his, he was visibly shaking. "You can do it Billy.." Milo whispered for support. Making as good a breath, using both his hands together, one on top of the other. He pushed down right in the center of her chest firmly, with his arms straight.
"Come on, come on!" He struggled and finally she choked up water. The crowd was full of relief. While Milo, well, he was so close to passing out. It was the most intense day he had... ever. The child was okay and Billy stepped back towards Milo. "Y-You did good... You saved her.." He gave a half smile. "Eh," He sounded prideful but modest, "All you buddy, also you did good on your swear."
"Thanks..."The way home was... interesting.
There was something wrong like a feeling in his chest as if it were a warning, but he ignored it.
Everything seemed fine until there was a bunch of RATS running in a single path. "What in the heck-fuck?" He whispered then immediately groaned. "God, it's going to become a habit." He carried on, forgetting about the rats and back to his house."Papa! I saved someone today!" Milo exclaimed proudly entering his house. "Very good son" There was a pause, "You seem overly happy."
He pointed out, making his son puzzled.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"What has happened over there apart from the saving someone?"
"Well... I made a friend, His name is Billy, Billy Hargrove. He's really uh nice sometimes."
He took a few seconds to react, he then grabbed his son and looked at him in the face. His tone was always serious, something not new. But this time, in this moment, Milo had never heard him this way."Listen to me son, You stay away from that boy. Boys like that aren't friends, they poison your brain with bad influence. Stop talking to him, stop being near him. You got it?"
He stumbled after hearing his serious voice.
"Y-Yes papa.. I understand.."
but this, was a lie.☆.。.:*
