There were a lot of characters in the series that I felt didn't get enough screen time. Most background characters you only knew their names, and nothing else. Or, they got a single video dedicated to them, and were just used to fill the seats with familiar faces after.
For example, Naoki really wanted to beat Lui and become the best blader in Japan, but after sabotaging Shu's match, he pretty much faded to the background. Did he give up on his dream of becoming the best? You'll never know. Or Jin Aizawa, who apparently had two hundred some ghosts guarding him, and perhaps narcolepsy, and he seems to be some kind of acquaintance with Naoki. Aside from Jin believing in his ghosts we get no affirmation of the rest of these assumptions, other than the fact that fell asleep after one of his matches and always sits beside Naoki in the crowd.
The characters from the first season are kinda kicked to the curb for pretty much forever after they debut. Sure, some characters do kinda live on, like how Hoji's brother joins the bey club (Sorry if you have not seen turbo yet), and Rantaro's brother makes his own club, but most characters don't get that. Once they've outlived their usefulness their dead, to all but the audience who's left wondering, 'but what about _?'
Oh, and this has nothing to do with this topic but what's up with that weird Cat dude that's always there? First there was one in the district, then the nationals. Do Takara Tomy secretly like Neko? (This is stupid and I don't why I put this here ;)
Here's a list of all the characters in no particular order that I think deserve a little backstory:
-Orochi Gimba
-Ukyo Ubuki
-Jin Aizawa
-Naoki Minamo
-Yugo Nansui
-Sasaki
-Shindo (Wakiyas friends)
-Akira Yamatoga
-Ben Azuki
- The members of the film club
(I can't remember their names)

FanfictionBasically me raging about things that trigger me in this anime. Probably a waste of space, but hey, if you read it then I'm not complaining. Ranges from shipping to characters to the plot of each video.
