TEENAGE NIGHTMARE
PART TWO — SEASON THREE.
THE WALKER FAMILY.

            Franny Walker's life had changed rather drastically. After finally graduating from high school, she had plans to get as far away from Hawkins as she could afford. And, while it wasn't that far, Chicago, Illinois was still a whole new planet to Franny Walker. Still unsure of what she wanted to do with the rest of her life, Franny applied to a handful of colleges in Chicago and got accepted into Columbia College Chicago, which had been a bit of a surprise to her, but it was also surprisingly the easiest part of her whole plan for the future. The hardest part, however, was trying to explain to her boyfriend Steve Harrington why he should drop Scoops Ahoy after summer break and move to Chicago with her.

           JP Walker was pretty content with life. Since his sister and friends had graduated, he'd packed all of his stuff into a bookbag— crazy how you can just shove your entire life into a cheap bag, huh?— and decided that he was going to travel the country. He'd been gone about two months before he came back to find that both Nancy and Jonathan had gotten hired at a crappy newspaper company, and that his sister was planning on going to college out of state. He didn't feel like he was gone long enough for stuff to change that quickly, but he tried to bounce back by getting a job in the new Starcourt Mall in hopes of making some extra money to take with him on his next adventure. What he didn't know was that he'd be stuck working alongside Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley.

           Charlie Walker was, more or less, okay. A little while after the events of last fall, his dad took him to a few therapist appointments where he was eventually diagnosed with PTSD. Yeah, he could understand why. Most teenagers go through puberty worrying about acne or their voices changing, but he had to deal with all that shit on top of the fact that. sometimes, when he closed his eyes, he saw nothing but images of Will's convulsing body in the pumpkin patch. Or, that he couldn't watch an array of his favorite horror movies anymore because the shrill screaming sounded a little too familiar.  Still, he went about his summer days as any teen would, and spent most of his time alongside his friends, who were a bit too preoccupied with their girlfriends, and pretended like nothing was wrong. He could say at least one good thing came out of last year: he'd finally admitted his feelings to Will Byers, and he wasn't afraid to act on them anymore. Even if it did get him a dozen or so nasty looks in public.
