It was a wonderful afternoon, the sun still high yet the wind blowing smoothly over my red coat. I smile looking around eyeing no trouble, a few greetings from other villagers and new faces. I greet back seeing it was a good day today

Checking over the farmers selling, selling all kind of fruit, vegetables, drinks, fruit baskets etc. Today was a very special and important day, it was the anniversary of my parents and me becoming the high guard of Snugglemane

Excited for today, while farmers were selling they had to close up their shop soon. In order to get preparations ready for the night

Looking around, I smile seeing few villagers around the middle of the fountain. Talking and chatting about their mornings

Before I can walk away, a light weight I felt behind me. Weighting my tail down, I look behind to see nothing on my tail weirded out about to continue walking, I feel my tail being played with. I look behind to see no one there

Until a heat a small muffle giggle, I smile to myself already know who it is

Pretending to about to take a small step, feeling a small paw touch my tail, hugging them closely as they laugh outloud

"Aww! You cought me!!" Adorabat admits between giggles

"So you're the one who's been touching guards property. You know the rule Adorabat" I say setting her down

Her smile didn't wipe off but nodded, understanding the rule against touching others property without permission. Even though, she always done it to me ever since, becoming a hobbit of hers to do it often more or less

"Got an explinantion on why you're touching my tail today little lady?" I ask her, she shook her head excitingly as she flew into my arms

"Today's a big day for you Kiki!!" She said excitingly cuddling herself close to me

"I know since I can see everyone preparing for tonight. Aren't you gonna get ready tonight Adorabat?" I ask her

Shrugging her wings making a 'I don't know' noise muffled, her wings flap above me

"Its whatever to me, I don't wear clothes!!" She says outloud making others look at our directions as Adorabat layer her stomach above my head, I start walking around the fountain making sure for everyone not stealing anything inside the fountain water

"Half your kind don't wear clothes anyways"

"What about you Kikio? Aren't you gonna wear anything fancy?" She ask

Shrugging my shoulder, I smile halfy

"I'm sure Snugglemane might wanna fit me in clothing I, wish not to wear. But hey, his castle his rule" I say sitting down next to the fountain as Adorabat flew down sitting next to me

"I wish I can become a guard just like you Kikio, I wanna defend justice and best up bad guys from hurting anyone who's nice!!" She yells, determined

"But Adorabat, you know guarding means protecting others from harms way. It's kinda the opposite from beating bad guys" I say, correcting her

I never did agreed beating up others, my main goal here is to protect villagers from any harms way. It's my duty to protect, not fight back

Adorabat groaned in annoyance started to whine a bit

"But you AAALLLLwaayyss say that! It sounds boooorrriinnggg!!" She whined laying on her back, giggling softly gently caressing her head

"Its not always boring, atkeast you get to know your friends are safe right?" I ask her, she sighs agreeing

"Don't worry, I'm sure over time things will get spiced up" I say

Speaking too soon, I regret the words I spilled out right that moment

About to leave, we hear a loud bang come from the other side of town. A sight of a mushroom shape cloud was shown above the sky. Unsure of that noise, about to head towards the noise. Adorabat got a head start as she started flying fast to the noise while screaming

"What was that?!?"

"W-wha--Adorabat!! Come back!!" I yell running after her, worried she might come in contact in danger pirates. More or worse, monsters!

(After chasing Adorabat around town, both her and Kikio are back again at the fountain)

After catching up with Adorabat, we come back to the exact same spot. Grabbing her close to me as we were under a bridge almost mear mile close away from the fountain

"Adorabat, what do you think you're doing?? You can't just run into something that just exploded, you might get hurt!" I say worridely before Adorabat groaned as she flew out of my grasps

"But that has never happened here for a looong time! And that's exciting!!"

"Exciting my tail, you don't know what or who could hurt a little bat like you--" before I can finish, we both heard a splash behind us

Grabbing Adorabat as we quickly hid behind a bush, as she started struggling. I shush to her looking over what could of made that splashing noise

My assumptions correct, a red looking hand came out through the fountain water, coming out slowly. A black cat man comimg out, his black coat wet as the water started dropping down to his chest down to the ground. Next to him was a large oversize bear like, with one eye patch with his left arm robotic and his right, has his own skin

Both of them taking out their weapons as they look around the town, their body poster was right in combat. They stand their ground while the cat man blade started faces around

Unsure who these outsiders are but, gotta kick them both out. About to draw out my weapon still my eyes glued both men, I talk down to Adorabat. Or so I thought she was next to me

"Adorabat, I need you to go back home and to stay in. Help the others get back from these 'pirate's' so I can deal with--" turning my gaze down, Adorabat was no longer next to me, expect she flew towards behind the cat guy having the red cape

"Adorabat!!!" I mire whisper/yell at her directions as she maybe didn't hear me or just flat out ignored me for a behind them

Looking around trying to figure out a plan to get her out of their sight, a villager poked the cat guy back as the cat like guy blade about to face the villager. Quickly, running out of where I was hiding, getting out my own weapon while blocking his blade towards the villagers

"What the--!!" Before he can make a next move, quickly grabbing the villager while pushing them back. Away from these strangers!

His strength of his blade and arm power pushing me back but quickly correcting my position, pushing him and his friend back

"I will ask you this simple question as you will obey my orders. Who are You? If not speak the truth, you will be forced to leave this place and never come back."
