He was stunned to witness her lying on the hospital bed with a blank face as if lost the sync with the world around her..
"Be careful captain sheekhawat ......she might react in an unusual way.....say or do something which would startle you...her mental state isn't exactly coherent...she has'nt communicated with anyone in a really long time..."Dr warned him ..as he was too stunned to witness her in such a state..dressed in hospital clothes ...staring wistfully at the leaf covered parking area down the street.....
He walked towards her bed ..and got seated there ...near her bedside....staring at her with a longing.....summing up all courage not to break down...at the moment...
She turned ...as a reflex.....feeling someone's essence....someone's gaze.
..that sounded little less unfamiliar....than everything else she is surrounded with..
She keeps quite staring back at him...
"Naina "he utters....while all the other words form a lump down his throat choking him....
She tries to pass him same questioning and alienated look she gives to everyone ...but somehow her eyes end up talking to his as his fingers gently entwine in hers.....
She keeps staring at him...numb...confused .disoriented..
And next moment starts yelling.
"Nurse..."with a terror clouding her sense ..an unknown restlessness that she hasn't felt in quite a long time.....
Her friends come and go...talk to her ..meet her ...but she has never turned to them..blankly staring at the window ....having no idea of who they are. And why they engage in a small talk with a person with no concept of reality....
But in all these years its first time that she reacted to someone...
She yells in fright ...again...
"Naina..its okk...its me..rajveer.."he tries to calm her down...while his own heart is about to come out of his rib cage....why is she scared......
Nurse comes in with a sedative...."aapko bahar jaana hoga...."she informs ..injecting a sedative in her veins.....forcing her in a deep slumber...
He doesn't dare come in ....next day..even as his heart is aching to get another glimpse of her .. ..just once
.......
"Nurse ..wo jo kuch din pehle mujhse milne aaye the ......"she inquires...and her caregivers are amused...
"Haan mam ..mr .rajveer..mam wo to Roz ate hai aapko dekne ke liye..'the friendly nurse excitedly chirps..while the senior one stares sternly at her...
"Rajveer"she utters the name to herself... Thinking deeply....a strange restlessness in her eyes...
"Mai unse milna chahti hun "she says.....

He comes daily to meet her..spend time with her . sitting by her bedside...talking random things.....bringing her books to read given the abundance of leisure time she has ....soemtimes reading them for her ....
She often stares at him with curious eyes. . ..wanting to ask him a lot of questions...but somehow..his eyes calm her ....hypnotise her .and she quietly enjoys his company..
.yet one day..she asks him..
"Kya hamara ek dusre se koi khaas rishta hai...mujhe hamesha aapka chehra dikhayi deta tha....apne sapno me.even when i hadn't seen you....
Kaun ho ap"
He looks at her with longing ...his eyes filled with tears and love overflowing......
He utters with a genuineness...
"Ham ek dusre see pyaar karte hai"
She stares at him..as if she has a complete belief in whatever he says....and does..and nods. .
His heart warms up....and tears overflow his eyes....as he witnesses the power his love beholds on her... ...she who has no concept of reality....believes in him...like trusting him was an instinct that stems from somewhere deep in her unconscious mind.....
He spends a great deal of time with her ....and slowly she had started getting better ....
Often talks normally ...even smiles at people..
Every night asking him to wait for a bit long.
And every morning waiting impatiently for him to come .
Aalekh ,pooja ,Ali ,huda and ud often come to see her introducing themselves as his friends ....and she starts communicating with them too...
Neither is amused or astonished as he asks her to marry him...in just a month..so that he can take further care of her ..and she agrees just as it was meant to be.....like she just knew its what she is fated to do.....
That's where she belongs
