Marinette walked into the flower shop, where she bought flowers every week to put on her parent's graves.
"Hello Ryan!" Marinette said cheerfully to the man behind the counter. "Hello! The usual Mademoiselle?" He asked her joyfull but a bit sad. "Yes please." He handed her a boquet of purple irises. They were Sabine's favorite flower. She handed him a couple dollars. "Thank you. I'll see you next week." She told him, and started towards the cemetery.
She was looking down at the ground, lost in thought, as she walked, when she hit into something hard. "Ow!"
(Luka's point of view)
I was walking down the street to get some coffee when someone ran into me. "Ow!" She said falling over. I turned around to see blue haired girl on the concrete looking up at me with gorgeous bluebell eyes. I could sence almost immediately that she was perfect prey for him.
She sat up on the ground, half squashed flowers underneath her leg. She looked to be a bit disoriented.
'I hope I didn't hurt her'
"I'm sorry." I say, offering my hand to help her up. She gladly accepted it. "No, it's my fault. I wasn't watching where I was, go- in-g. " She looked up at me and her words started to trail off. "Are you alright?" I ask her. " Y-yeah" She replied blushing at me.
We both looked to the mangled flowers on the ground. We simultaneously crouched down to grab them. Her hand brushed over mine. Her skin was soft; as if it was new. We locked eyes for a few moments before she hurriedly looked away.
I grabbed the flowers and handed them to her. "Thanks!" The girl smiles. "No problem." I reply. She then seemed to have realized something. "I-I have t-to go. I'm late. Sorry for bumping into you." She then walked off before I coupled say another word.
I got this sinking feeling in my stomach. I looked around for him. I couldn't see him, but I felt him. So I followed her, because I knew that he was most likely following her.
(Marinette's point of view)
I walked to the cemetery and found their graves. I grabbed the irises from last week and replaced them with the, sort of, squashed ones I bought earlier today.
"Hey Mama, Hey papa. Sorry I'm late. I ran into someone... Literally, haha. You know how clumsy I can be." I started to twirl around the necklace my parents gave to me before the accident. I tend to fiddle with it when I'm anxious.
I looked across the cemetery. It felt like someone was watching me. I scanned my surroundings but I didn't see anything. So I decided to let it go and continue talking.
"Jack got in trouble today- again. I never realised how hard it was to take care of him. I'm sorry I didn't help more. I'm trying now though. Anyways, other than that, today's been okay."
Crack
'Was that a stick? I think someone is watching me. No... I'm just paranoid... Right? Mabey I should run. But the only way is through the woods...'
(Luka's point of view)
'Is she, at a grave? Hmm. She's talking to them.'
I look around. 'Ugh. He's here. I can feel it. I can't let him take her, I think she's Julika's friend. I guess I'll just have to follow her until she gets home. It's so much work protecting these people from this bastard.'
Crack
I see her look in the direction of the noise.
'Did she hear that? She's got pretty good hearing- wait she shouldn't have been able to hear that. The only creatures that can are- no. She probably just felt his presence. She's just very observant. That's all. Besides I'd be able to tell if she was.' I get ready to swoop in and save her, when all of a sudden she goes sprinting off into the woods. "Shit!"
(Marinette's point of view)
I could feel the presence getting closer. I look around trying to figure out what to do.
'I think I'm going to run into the woods. It's my only chance.'
So I take off into the woods. I'm freaking out and I don't know where I'm going, I just know I have to run. While I was running I wasn't paying attention. There was a tree root sticking out, and I tripped over it.
"Ah! " I cried. I had twisted my ankle.I look around and with no danger in sight I decide to make my way over to a mossy log. I sat down and sighed in defeat.
"Are you okay?" I heard a soft voice. I looked up, startled. It was the same man with blue tipped hair, and blue eyes I ran into today.
"Y-yeah." I said. In my panic I had forgotten about my ankle for a moment, and tried to stand up. "Ah!" I plopped back down on to the log and held my ankle. "Do you need help?" He asked me. I thought for a second, then came to the conclusion that- assuming he's not the one I was running from- this was the best choice at the moment. I nodded. "By the way I'm Luka. You are?" He asked. I splurted out, "H-h-hi I'm M-M-Marinette."
'Danm you Marinette.'
"Well, nice to meet you M-M-Marinette." He said teasingly. I frowned. "Sorry." He stopped. "Sometimes I don't think before I speak." "I-its ok." I replied, realizing that I was over reacting a bit.
"Where do you want me to take you?" "The TS bakery." I replied. He picked me up in his, strong arms and started to carry me home.
(Adrien's point of view)
I watched him pick her up and carry her home.
'Danm it! I need her blood! Danm that Luka. Always getting in the way of my prey! On the bright side, I know where she lives. I can have my 'friends' kidnap her tomorrow. Then I'll haver her delicious smelling blood.'
I get back to my house, and walk up to my room. I walk in to find my 'friends'asleep. 'Lazy little-' "Wake up you sloths!" I shout. They both jump up, luckly, ready for orders. "I need you to kidnap this girl for me tomorrow night, around 8 o-clock." I lay a picture of Marinette in front of them. "She lives in the TS bakery. Do it in an alley way. Watch out for Luka. He's messing with my plans again." 'Yes Adrien' they say, and I head to bed.
At the bakery (narrator)
Luka walked up to the bakery with Marinette in his arms. "Here we are." He said, pushing the door open with his back. They saw jack behind the counter. "Hello welcome to- Mari? Are you okay? Are you hurt? What happened?" He said with panic. Luka carefully put her down. "I'm fine Jackie. I just twisted my ankle. Luka here was nice enough to carry me home." She looked over at him, and blushed a bit. "That's a relief. Thank you for bringing my sister home." Jack said with gratitude. "No problem. See you around Marinette." He waved. "Bye Luka! thanks again." He left and Jack helped her upstairs.
'Whew! She's safe for tonight.' Luka sighed in relief, and made his way home.
