Chapter 14

Y/N POV

I woke up with my little angel next to my bed she was sleeping she looked like she was smiling. I stretched sitting up looking around I saw billie watching me and charlotte she was actually smiling.

"Good morning beautiful I was watching my beautiful girls all night. She didn't even cry she just slept."

Billie genuinely looked happy but soon that turned to a sad expression

"Y/n I wanna move back to LA but I still want to be a parent to little charlie we just can't say anything about me being involved with having a baby or me even having a girlfriend so I think it's best if we go back to our old lives you know ? I can still date brandon but I'll still be dating you he said he'll take me back and he can see the baby."

I don't know if it was my postpartum or the mama bear in me but I was fuming

"You know what billie you can just leave I don't need you and neither does charlie just leave so you can live your happy life with brandon that's all you wanted you never cared about us I don't need this drama in me or charlies life so just go get out never ever come back we're going to move to texas with my family I'll catch a train when I can with my own money."

She had a sad look on her face and was going to say something but charlotte woke up. I picked my baby up talking to her telling her how I love her so much and how she'll love texas I heard a door open and close and no sign of billie guess she really meant it.

-A Month later-

I been laying in my new bed while charlottes crib was next to me I love my little charlie she's so sweet and doesn't cry she always smiles she has some of billies features but they still make her beautiful. Speaking of billie she's been calling my phone ever since she left she's sent me money and even airplane tickets to LA in hopes I'd come back but I'm not she made her choice she keeps saying she wants to see charlie but I refuse to let someone who can't even claim they child see said child I'm keeping my word I'm not going to keep my word this time.

There was a knock on the door I went to go answer hoping it was my cute neighbor her names Judy she has short curly hair pale skin and hazel eyes I'm not looking for a relationship but some stability is good and charlie enjoys her company and Judy knows how to make her fall asleep too.

"Hey beautiful lady" Judy said kissing my forehead I bit my lip blushing at her

"Hey cutie" I closed the door when she entered and walked into the living room charlie was sleeping in her crib yes I bought two cribs don't judge me. Judy looked in the crib and smiled and sat on the couch opening her arms I crawled on the couch laying my head on her chest she smelled so good like cinnamon and apple I snuggled into her and we were like that for a hour or two watching stranger things . My phone buzzed and I looked down to see billie calling I ignored it and continued to watch tv until she called again I sighed and declined her call again I felt judy tense up I looked at her and she fixed her glasses and stared down at me

"Was that her ?"

I stayed silent not wanting to say anything

"Why is she even calling she doesn't care about you or charlotte she left you y/n! I swear I would never have done that to you at all !" She slammed her fist on the couch running her hands through her hair I grabbed her clenched fist and rubbed it unclenching it and gently laying my face in her palm she stared in my eyes and was starting to lean in and so was I our lips grazed each other until there was a knock on the door Judy got up and went to answer it charlotte was crying so I went to go tend to her and kissing her face she was hungry I made her a bottle and sat back down on the couch with her I noticed judy getting mad

"Just go away man you shouldn't be here"

"Who the fuck even are you bro I'm here for y/n and my kid so move"

It was billie I know that voice. She nudged her way through the door and saw me holding charlotte she walked over dropping her suitcase she sat next to me looking at me and charlotte Judy stood in the kitchen keeping an eye on us

"What do you want billie you said what you said now leave please"

"Look y/n I realized I'm a dumbass for even saying some shit like that I'm so so so sorry I really love you I want to be here for charlotte baby come on you know you won't say no even if you do you always come back you can't get rid of me like seriously y/n"

"News flash billie this isn't about my feelings or my priorities it's about my baby I don't have to do anything you can get out for all I care I went through postpartum alone I needed a partner but you were out fucking brandon like always so guess what not this time I'm not coming back"

She looked at me as if I stabbed her she leaned down to me close to my ear

"Well I hope you enjoy me being your neighbor across the hallway y/n" she kissed my cheek and kissed charlottes forehead walking out nudging judy closing the door.

I sat there in shock I couldn't get away from her I could never get away.
