Chapter Ten

"So you're a reckless?"
Melanie asked, her voice filled with hope but worry.
The two twins shook their heads together.
"No one knows besides you... We decided to do this because, I mean, you're in love with our leader!"
Blurryface is the leader?
How in the world did Josh not find out about them being a reckless?
"Blurryface... is your leader?"
It sounded funny.
"Well, not really, we just call him that. Us reckless look up to him, he's the one with the super special powers."
Super special powers?
"What do you mean?"
Melanie didn't know what they were talking about.

"We can read minds, run fast, have ultra strength, warm bodies... but he... he can tell where you are at all times. He can be in two different souls at once."
Melanie was right when she thought about that earlier.
That was crazy.
"Who knows, maybe he's spying on you right now."
A sentence like that would sound insane to a normal human being who didn't understand anything that was happening, but what one of the twins said made Melanie feel almost... safer.
"Multitasking, I see."
Melanie was into it.
"Sort of. He hasn't told you this we assume... but he can feel your feelings... feel your surroundings. When you are in trouble, he knows."
Blurryface might be hearing in on this conversation and if Melanie tells him that this never occurred he would know she lied to him.
"That explains my fight with Nico..."
Melanie trailed off.
Both girls gave a confused expression.
"What?"
In sync they spoke.

"Uh... Nico... um... M-my daughter... she—"
Melanie was cut off instantly.
"No, we know."
Talking about it clearly hurt Melanie and they knew that.
It made her feel a bit better.

"Yeah, so... Nico found me one day and a fight broke out... No powers were used, thankfully. I wouldn't be here right now."
Melanie felt her throat close.
"Blurryface came for me... he saved me."

The girls smiled, not saying a word back.
"He very much cares about you and we can see that... We sometimes read his mind when we are talking about you. Believe me, he's obsessed."
A smile broke out on Melanie's lips.
"Yeah, sure."
She giggled.
"Seriously! He needs to control his thoughts!"
One of them joked.
Control his thoughts?
What is he thinking about?
It made Melanie wonder...

"Well, what does he think about?"

"Nothing important... unless you two are like..."
Her hands made weird symbols, signs, nothing Melanie could understand.

"Together."
The other twin filled her in.

Melanie wasn't sure about her and Blurryface.
Lovers?
Tyler's soul, his entire life is now trapped in Blurryface... again.
And she's married to Tyler.
She had a fucking child with him.
If something goes wrong she'll lose everything she loved.
And once everything is over, will she want Tyler back?

"I guess you can say we are... t-together."
Melanie's voice cracked from her face heating up, her eyes beginning to fill and turn red.
She didn't know exactly why she was starting to cry.

"I think this is getting out of hand."

Melanie watched her through her own tears, trying not to seem to obviously hurt.
