After leaving Horma, and drove to my apparnet went up stares and closed the door behind me. I quickly locked it and slid down the door bringing my knees into my chest. Why...Why out of all the people in this world did I have to harm is the one I missed the most. I began to cry until I heard a thumping sound. Looking up I saw no one. Then I heard another thud and the briefcase fell over. Standing up, I walked over to the briefcase. That is when I heard whispering and a strange glow from it. As I crouched down I reached out my hand but before I could touch it the case lid flew open leaving two leather bound books. One of the two books had black leather with some engraving on it with a large blue stone. While the other was a dark green leather with a silver oak tree. The green one caught my attention as I instinctively reached out and picked it up.
"So, you are Mistress Bellatrix's appriness." looking around the small apartment trying to figure out where the voice was coming from.
"Hay humans I'm right here!" Looking back down at the book I felt it move in my hand until it shot out of my hand and began to levitate. When this happened I fell backwards on my rear.
"Uri, you're scaring the poor lass." The black book levitated as its blue stone began to shine. "Oh, it's been a century Maura, and you're still defending these mortals." The green book bickers with the black one.
"Uri, you love humans as much as I do. Now quit being a stubborn old goat, let's show this young sorceress the way." Mauru noughed Uri.
"Hold on just a damn minute! I just reunited with my so-called ex and now I'm sitting here talking to two talking books." I said as I started to laugh hysterically. After a few moments of crying and laughing hysterically, I looked up at the two floating books.
"So, are you good sweety." The black book said flying up to me.
"No, I'm not. Why do I have to lose everything? Everything that I hold dear burns and turns to ash." said sniffling. "Alright... How about we change all that." Uri said moving next to me.
"But how?" I questioned.
"My dear... If you touch us. You will be granted seven magic spells and very powerful spells at that." Maura said, moving next to her partner.
"Annabella please let us help you achieve your wish." Maura said. I thought for a moment then I reached out and took hold of both books. Upon touching them I felt my body burn with an odd sensation on my left and right shoulder blade began to hurt. As well as a surge of information to the mind I saw so many things so fast until it stopped and I blacked out.Time Skip
The next morning I took a shower saw there were two emblems on my shoulder blades. One was as a tribal tree the other was a tribal sun and moon eclipse with a pentagram behind it. Even since last night I felt bad about hitting Mikoto. Luckily it's a Saturday so I decided to go back to Homra. After putting on a red tank and skin tight black jeans. Slipping on my knee high white army lace up boots. Once I was finished putting on my shoes, I slipped on my father's black leather jacket. I was about to head outside when I heard two familiar voices.
"Annabella please wait." I heard calling from behind. Turning back around I saw Uri and Maura flying to me. "Damn it, wait for us." Uri stated as he flew up to me.
"What's up?" I asked looking up at the two.
"Part of the grimoire work, we cannot be separated from our masters, Annabella." Maura said, moving closer. Stopping for a moment, I tried to think of how in the world am I going to tote around two book versions of Cosmo and Wanda in my bag. In a city where the only magic is used by the king, stains, and or clansman.
"How am I supposed to carry around two flying talking books?" I said with a little agitation. Uri then started flapping around and gripping.
"0i, human, we can transform into other items as long as we keep a book shape. " Well... You could turn into pendants I could wear." Within a flash of light both of them Turned into two grimoire pendants. Letting out a sigh, I grabbed my keys off the hook. The dive there was miserable as I tried rehearsing some kind of an apology, but it seemed no use. Parking on the side corner of the bar, I stepped out and headed inside. It was around twelve thirty in the afternoon. As I stepped in I heard a familiar sound of someone strumming a guitar. As I walked around the corner I saw Tatara playing some simple cords at the little girl that went by the name Anna beside him at a table. Not wanting to disturb them I walked up to the bar and sat down. Sitting by myself , I waited for Tatara to stop playing before saying anything. He strubbed a few more cords before looking up to see me. "Oh, hay Bell-chan. I didn't see you there." He said placing the guitar to the side on its stand before walking next to me. Looking down at my hands I then looked Tatara in the eyes.
"Tatara, I'm sorry about yesterday but I...I need to apologise to Mikoto. It was emotional and I... I want to talk to the both of you in private." I said, trying to hold my composure.
"Sorry to disturb his touching moment but the King is out on patrol. But in the meantime would you like something to drink." Turning around I saw Izumo. King? Who is he talking about?
"Izumo, who are you talking about?"I said tilting my head to the side.
"What! Bell-Chan no one told you that Mikoto is the red king." After Tatara said this the room went quiet. "Tatara...Are you...."I said, stuttering.
"I guess you need this my lady." He said placing a sunrise margarita.aking in one hand I started slipping the bitter sweet liquid. I could feel the light burning of my throat causing heat rise into my cheeks. Setting the glass down on the white glass coaster. "Thank you Izumo. I really need that. I've been having a stressful week." I said, smiling at him. "Your welcome, My Lady." He said doing a small curtsy bow. I was about to take another sip when I heard a chime from the front door.
"Oh, Mikoto, welcome back." I heard little Anna say. Looking over my shoulder I saw Mikoto with beautiful amber eyes and gorgeous red hair. I felt my cheeks heat up even more after seeing him. Taking a deep breath I let out a sigh before looking at Mikoto getting up from my seat at the bar. Walking in front of Mikoto staring up at him. "Mikoto there is something I want to speak with you about in private and I'm sorry." I said looking to the side not really wanting to look at him directly. I then felt a hand on my head which ruffled my hair a bit.
"Ann, come follow me." He said softly. Moving past me, I followed him up the stairs. Stopping for a moment I motioned Tatara to follow, he then nodded and followed suit. Once we made it to Mikoto's room, I saw it was simple. There was a bed, a couch, dresser, and a small bathroom. Laying on the couch, Mikoto lit a cigarette with his arua. So he is the red king. As I thought about this I felt my necklace move and I looked down at Uri and Maura who were reacting to Mikoto's power.
"So, Ann, what do you want to tell me?" Mikoto asked before taking a puff of smoke and Tatara shut the door.
"Mikoto, Tatara. I want to tell you the reasoning as to why I came back." I paused before continuing.
"Tatara, remember when I told you my parents were leasuring their time at home?" I said looking over my shoulder.
"Well that was a lie. A week ago my parents went on a vacation business trip without me, but they didn't return." I said I was trying to keep myself composed but it was working.
"Bell-chan you don't mean?" I couldn't say anything so I just nodded my head. After a few moments I took a deep breath so I came back. "To be completely honest I didn't expect Mikoto of all people to be the red King, no affance." Mikoto chuckled at that but didn't say much.
"Bell -chan if you need to stay here for the night. I'm going to tell Izumo." Tatara said and closed the door and with that I dropped to my knees. I then began to cry the tears that I've been holding in for so long. It wasn't until I felt someone's arms around me and the smell of cigarettes mixed with cologne. Looking up I saw Mikoto's red hair and amber eyes giving a somewhat worried look. Mikoto then scooped me up and carried me to his bed and laid me down.
"Sleep here for the night I lay on the couch." He said, removing his hands around me before sitting up moving back to the couch. I soon fell asleep inhaling the smell of Mikoto's scent.
