It's finally the last few weeks of summer. To get in some last minute hangouts the boys decided to go to the Arcade.

Lucas, Dustin, Mike and Will are about to play a game of Dig Dug when Lucas notices the high score now belongs to an 'ELMAX'

They're all in shock because in almost every game they've played that night had a new placeholder for highest score.

Mike's POV ~
"Ughhh I'm sick and tired of seeing this 'ELMAX' beating our high scores!!" I swear when I find out who this is ima-
"Yeahhh I mean we worked so hard on those games" Will said with a supportive smile.

Lucas's POV ~
"Woahhwhoaah guys look over there!" I said slapping all their shoulders to get their attention.
"Ouchhh what was that for?!"
I could tell Dustin was ready to return the favor with a little punch
"Stop being a little baby and look at who's playing Dragon's Lair"

There were two girls. One was intensely into the game- she had long kinda curly orange hair, matches perfectly with her pale skin tone. The other laughing and cheering her on- she had short brown hair that curled at the ends right above her shoulder with baggy cloths. They had skateboards next to them. Okayyy now that's pretty cool.
"Woahhh who are they??" said Dustin practically making goggly eyes at the one playing the game.

Mike's POV ~
"They must be new, I've never seen them around" I said just itching to go talk to the one laughing it up. she looks really cute in her own element.. and in that oversized shirt. Wow. I'm-
"Guys can we just play this game and stop staring at them, they will probably catch us and think we are freaks" Will said obviously annoyed.

"No Will it's okay I want them to catch us staring, maybe then we can talk to them"
"Why wait when we can do it now" said Dustin probably thinking the same thing as me -I'm dying to see them up close
"Smart man Dus, lets go introduce ourselves gentlemen" I said signaling us the okay to go.

Will's POV ~
Mike started walking and the rest of us followed. I didn't want to go talk to the girls but Mike and the others seemed like they really wanted to so I just gave in.

"Hey um.. are you guys 'ELMAX' ? Mike said to them slightly hesitant.

"OH YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME! UGH!!" I think we may have made the girl -who was clearly so focused on the game lose. She seems fired up now. She  could kill us for all I know.

"Whose asking?" the girl who was obviously her moral support said with an agitated look on her face.

"You guys beat our high scores in almost all these games. We wanted to know if we guessed right" I said almost completely scared to my core of how they might think of me for speaking to them.

Mike's POV ~
"Well u stalkers guessed right" said the girl who is quite feisty.
" 'ELMAX' is that both your names combined? Whose who?" I said hoping to learn her name.
"Yeah I'm Maxine but seriously call me max or I'll make you sorry. And that's Eleven, El for sort obviously but her real name is Jane". 
Eleven...I wonder how that name came about, Jane sounds as pretty as her.
"Well i'm Michael- Mike for short, This is William but he goes by Will, Dustin, and that is Lucas." I introduce the party to them

We all hit it off for like I don't know 2 hours maybe. We ate pizza together at some point. I have noticed that Will hasn't spoken much. What's up with him? Is he not having a good time? Man now I feel bad, I know.. I'll make it up to him...tomorrow.
