The Girl Between Two Worlds

°chapter four°

When you woke up you were afraid that it was all a dream, But fortunately it wasn't, You woke up to Pepper smiling and holding your hand.

"Y/n, I missed you." You sat up and hugged her tight.

"I missed you too." When she pulled away you already expected a lot of questions.

"Where were you?" You already know what she meant by those words.

"Pulled into atleast three different universes, I was an actress In two of them." You chuckled at the end of your sentence. "I spent months figuring out how to get back apparently all I had to do was throw my phone to the wall."

She smiled sadly at you, She could see the dark circles under your eyes. You reminded her of Tony years ago.

"Alright, Time for the story." Tony butted in from the door, And sat beside you. Pepper smiled and walked out to give you both some space.

Tony told you about his experience in space, How this glowing girl saved them. Also about how Thanos died. It turned out they didn't bring anyone back, The stones were already gone.

"Where's the others?" You asked.

"I think Nat's still in the HQ and everyone else went on with their lives.."

"Can I visit her? I want to know how she's doing."

Natasha was surprised to see you, everyone was. She was more than happy to have you back.

"So...You just fell from the sky?" You nod as a response to her question. "Well, atleast we have you back."

"It's good to be back, I also got into weird universes though." You chuckled at the memory.

"Was I there? I mean, How did my other self look like?" She asked, leaning forward as she waited for your answer.

"I didn't see you but I bet you still look great." you smile at her. "Are you alone here?"

"Not really, They come and visit me sometimes." she answered, But you still knew she was feeling lonely in this place.

"How about I spend time here sometimes? So you won't be lonely everytime?"

"I don't want to-- I'm okay Y/n, you don't have to do that."

You knew you didn't have to but something made you feel like you needed to spend more time with her, and everyone.

"I don't mind, At least once or twice a month?"

You visited Thor next, And boy he didn't look so good... The place was a mess.

"Thor? It's Y/n." The god smiled widely once his gaze found you.

"Y/n! I missed you! but..how are you back?"

"Long story, I went to different universes and met this..Loki actor." You smiled. "It wasn't the same though..."

"I miss him too." It turned silent for the both of you, He told you about what happened right before Thanos. And how he met Valkyrie. It was fun. At least for an hour or two you forgot about everything else and went back in time.

When you got home you played with Morgan for a while. You told her stories about how you got here, You also felt like this whole day was about catching up with the others.

"Dad said you can do cool stuff!" She cheered. "Can you show me?"

"I don't know--"

"pleeaaaseee?" She looked at you with puppy eyes and pouts a little.

"Alright." you rolled your eyes playfully and walked outside with her  following. You touched the grass and tried to make the some of the grass float.

Nothing happened.

"What's wrong?" She asked, Morgan was a smart kid for her age.

"I don't know.. Can you stay back a little?" She nods and walked a couple steps back, You stood up and tried to make fire with your hands. But all that happened was heat covering your hands and nothing else.

"Morgan, I'm sorry I think I'm just a little tired. Why don't we go to sleep?"

You both walked inside and up to her room, You sat beside her on her bed and helped her fall asleep. Once you heard her soft snores, You quietly shifted away and went out of her bedroom.

You were up all night trying to make your powers work, You out a candle In front of you and tried to light it.

Nothing was happening.
