In the beginning there was nothing, literally nothing.
But there was Chaos (χαος) meaning emptiness. This thing or god was the cosmos.
I think this sounds already a lot like Genesis, I don't have a word to explain what Chaos is exactly. Cosmos? God? A thing??
Out of Chaos came Gaia (Γαια) How? Don't ask me, I also don't know. I guess we can call her Mother Earth, since her name literally means earth. And I really hate her, she is the reason why I get my periods. But I also have other reasons why I hate her so much, you will find that out later.
Since it was pretty boring there (Just imagine a gloomy void of Chaos and a lot of rocks) Gaia wanted something else, so Gaia formed the sky. The sky's name was Ouranos (Ούρανός) or also known as Uranus (Your anus) Which is a funny name, good job Uranus.
Uranus became Father Sky. Why? Well Gaia and Uranus started dating, whoa just goals. Then they got married!
Happily ever after!
