Outside was dark and gloomy. It has been raining non stop for two days. I haven't left my room (except for bladder purposes of course) the house still disheveled, I haven't slept or ate. I'm not hungry I'm not tired I'm just... empty. I rubbed my eye which  were crusted from my tears.

Im pretty sure I smelled like a sewer from my lack of hygiene. I finally got up and took a Much needed hot shower; it felt amazing and so refreshing. I got out and wrapped a towel around my body and patted my hair semi dry. Walking downstairs to wash the clothes I was wearing since my mothers death still clutching the towel to my wet body I stopped Wide-Eyed to a familiar sandy brown haired boy sitting on the couch.

"Oh. Uh hi." He cleared his thoat gesturing towards me. Confused I looked down to my exposed hip bone, flushed red I quickly turned and walked up the stairs hearing a low chuckle.

"Hey nice butt" Colby called from the sofa my face heated and I ran into my room. I let out a small sigh and moved my mop of hair out of my vision. I put on a pair of dark skinny Jeans my favorite off the sholder sweater that has the words "Fancy" and my black moccasins. After dressing I grabbed the clothes and towel I threw on the floor I headed back downstairs. I tried combing my fingers threw my hair but my beast of mocha waves couldn't be tamed.

I reached the last step and walked into the laundry room passing an amused Colby. Putting my clothes in the washer I grabbed the note from my back pocket my mom left and put in my cleaned pair of jeans I had on.

"Hey... How are you feeling.?" He asked leaning against the doorway

"I feel amazing. Today's the best" I sarcastically stated looking up at and plastering obviously fake smile on my lips.

"Okay, okay got it."

"I thought you had band practice today."

"I told the guys I'll practice some other day. I had something important to do."

"And that was... ?"

"Alaska really?"

"What?"

"The important thing was you"

"Why? We haven't actually talked talked since fucking elementary. So my mom had to die before you start paying attention to my life and me!" I was mad. Fucking the only time we talk is when he doesn't show up for his fucking shift and says sorry, and now that my mother died he starts paying attention and talks to me.

"Doesn't mean you don't mean anything to me. I never stopped caring about you Alaska..." I froze tears forming in my eyes I blinked them away and stood up calmly walking to the living room to find most thing's that were scattered all over the floor already picked up

"D-did you do this.?" I gestured to the living room.

"Uh yeah. I herd the shower running.. and uh thought you would like uh some uh.. help" he mumbled scratching the back of his head looking down causing his hair ti fall in front of his eyes.

"Oh uh thanks... So how'd you get in anyway?" I changed the subjet I looked at him to see a sly smile covering his lip. He held out his hand reveling a key dangling from in index finger. "You know you shouldn't keep your spare key in such a Obvious spot he let a low chuckle escape shaking his head and tossing the key towards me. I caught it and scoffed

"It is not obvious thank you" I rolled my eyes and place the key back in its hiding place -Under the Doorframe.-. I  Turned to see colby had gone off ito the kitchen then banging sounds. My eyes went wide and I rushed to the kitchen only to find Colby and my floor covered in flour. I let out a small laugh.

"Oh do you find this amusing?" He asked looking absolutely ridiculous

"Hmm let me think... yes" I answered laughing "All you need are feathers!" I called out smilling.

"You think you're funny huh? I'll give you something to laugh about" he smirked and took off after me holding his arms open. He chasing me through the apartment until he finally caught me and engulfed me in a big bear hug getting flour all over me aswell. I peeled him off me and tried patting the white powder off.

"Thank you oh so much. Now I have to change." I laughed and headed up stairs walking into my room my phone buzzed

"Hello?"

"Hello, is there a miss Alaska Reed advalible.?"

"This is she. May I ask who is calling.?"

"Oh! Indeed my name is Nick,  Nicholas Rosser . Could you meet me at the StarBucks by Central park and I could ask you some questions.?"

"Uh yeah, yeah sure I'll um be there in 20 minutes."

"Okay great. Thank you miss Reed" He spoke and hung up. I went to my wardrobe and looked for a nice outfit. After about five minutes I finally found a good outfit. I picked out a Black and White lace detailed blouse and black skinny jeans and my pair of my favorite black and White laced up saddle pumps and a black and white purse. I looked in the mirror and comb through my hair and put on my make up I decided to do a cream colored eye shadow a black cat eye liner and a bold red lip. I took one last look and headed downstairs to leave.

"Hey colby could you drop me off at the star bucks by Central park.?" I ask walking through the house looking for him but its empty.. "wired. ." I mumble and grab my keys, locked up and walk out the door.

I entered the coffee shop and ordered a caramel macchiato with a cream danish I haven't realised how hungry i was  and scarfed the pastry down. I order another one and sat in the booth looking out the window. After awhile of being lost in thought someone trapped me on the sholder.

"Good morning Miss Reed." The stranger smiled and took a seat in front of me. He was in his early 30's dark brown hair and brown eyes.  A soft smile across his lips.
