They climbed up to the rooftop and made themselves comfortable on the hard ground. Namjoo popped open the bottle, welcoming the cool liquid.
"Are we sharing?" Sehun wondered.
Namjoo hadn't expected a visitor, so she'd only brought one for herself. On the way up she hadn't thought about going to get one more for him.
"But you're driving," Namjoo said.
"I'll be all right." He held his hand out. Namjoo hesitated. Handing him the bottle and watched him take a sip. He didn't drink with the bottle held away. He really drank with his mouth touching the lid.
Namjoo looked away from his moist lips. She didn't think they were that close.
"Are you the only one who comes up here?" Sehun asked.
"No." Namjoo leaned back on her hands. "They're just more invested in their busy lifestyles."
Putting the beer between them, Sehun leaned back on his hands, too. "What were you doing earlier?"
Namjoo eyed the glowing city lights. A variety of pretty colors. "I went to see a friend."
She noticed him observing her. "I thought you said you didn't have any."
"Everyone at least has one."
"And?" he asked.
"We may not be friends anymore." Namjoo longingly stared out into the city scape. Reminiscing the years with Junmyeon and her heart grew sore.
If he never wanted to talk to her again, she would lose everything here and now.
She glanced at Sehun, "Would you forgive a friend who hurt the woman you like?"
"I'm not sure." He glanced at her. "It may depend."
"You don't have friends, right?" Namjoo teased creating laughter between them.

Compared to the hour before, Sehun returned feeling high. Landing in bed with a wide smile. 100% satisfied. Happier that she had invited him to sit in her special place with her, even though it had not been long.
He stared up at the ceiling, questioning what was going on with him. Flipping over onto his belly he touched the side of the bed Namjoo had laid on. Closing his eyes as he grinned again. Embracing the image of her curled up comfortably.
Sehun rose early the following morning. He took a shower even though it was out of his routine. Went through his closet carefully choosing his best looking shirt. Deciding he would need to update his closet. He didn't want his image to be considered old man yet.
With a light heart he changed and went through his hair with a comb. Pulled on clean socks and gave himself a onceover in the mirror. Satisfied he spritzed some body spray on and departed from his house. Excited for work for the first time.
And if Namjoo agreed, they could have a nice dinner together. The thought kept the smile glued onto his face. Expecting to see Namjoo in her seat next to his desk, but that morning it was empty.
That was ok, too. He could wait for her. Just as he pulled his seat out Captain Ha called out, "Detective." Attention caught the old man nodded toward the conference room.
Stepping away from his desk Sehun walked toward the door. Captain Ha shut it after him. There was a younger man in a tan uniform he recognized from the police academy. There were several pins honoring his academic excellence pinned to the left of his shirt.
Sehun observed the man questionably. Looked to Captain Ha for clarification. The old man directed, "Introduce yourself."
"Yes, sir." The tan uniform formally replied. Robotically shifting toward Sehun, he saluted. "I'm from the 34th grade, class 4, Lim Junhee, sir."
