Sydney knew Gotham like the back of her hand, but she could honestly say she was lost when it came to the woods. She had been walking for hours with only the crunching of leaves to accompany her. It was an odd forest. There seemed to be no woodland creature scurrying about. There seemed to be no birds in the trees. Maybe that could have been blamed on the nature of the city its self. Gotham was always in a state that felt like fall. The trees never seemed to stop shedding brown colored leaves, and the rain only stopped on the best of days only for the clouds to stay. It was truly a beautiful city to behold if you loved places that felt as if they were out of a Gothic novel.

A building caught the attention of the curious brunette as she made her way through the woods. Once she walked up she put her hand against the wall feeling the cold concrete against her fingers. A small almost buzzing sound caught her attention causing her to look up seeing a camera blinking. As she tilted her head the concrete separated revealing an elevator with a blonde inside. Without a word the female stepped out and grabbed Sydney's wrist dragging her inside allowing the concrete to shut. Only for a moment it was dark before florescent lights turned on illuminating the small space. Sydney couldn't help but feel like her little walk in the woods after work was a mistake. She just couldn't get the thought of her earlier encounter with Zsasz.

Soon the elevator stopped allowing her thoughts of the bald sadist to come to a halt. The blonde stepped out never once looking back to see if her new friend was following her. Sydney trailed behind looking around. Nothing seemed to grace the concrete walls. With every corner turned she felt more lost and the growing feeling of paranoia began to take hold. Finally They arrived at a wall and the girl turned to face her.

"Turn around," She spoke simply and Sydney complied turning and facing the other identical wall.

The sound of buttons being pressed sounded through the empty halls before being followed by the sound of what seemed to be a wall moving. Sydney felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned seeing her companion walking to a newly open room. Once inside she saw monitors lining one wall. As her eyes trailed the room she noticed what looked like blue prints and drawings of mazes all over the walls. Finally her eyes settled on a desk where what looked to be a man stood with his back to them.

"That will be all Ecco thank you,"The man finally spoke in a simple voice that sent chills down her spine.

The girl she knew now to be Ecco walked to the other side of the room simply pushing a wall and the concrete slid open and as she left it shut. Sydney stood with her hands rubbing the sides of her thighs as she bit her lip looking around the small room.

"I'm sorry to intrude on you sir that was never my intention," She spoke softly with the only response from the man being his hand raising as to stop her.

"Who are you?" He spoke bluntly both of his hands now resting on his desk seemingly looking down at what looked to be more blueprints.

"My name is Sydney Scott. I work at a bar. I was on a walk when I saw-" Once again she was cut off by a raised hand.

"Well Sydney I'm sure my brother will love to know we have company for dinner tonight. You will stay won't you? We are having lamb with red wine to compliment." His voice was soft yet powerful and yet so chilling.

"If you allow it," She responded in a manner she felt he would like.

Finally he turned and faced her allowing his face to be lit up by the monitors and lights in the room. She couldn't help but feel drawn to the way he looked. Pale skin and ginger hair were always a huge attraction bonus for the female.

"I never got your name sir," She swallowed as the man stepped closer to her his hands behind his back.

"Jeremiah," He outstretched a hand from behind his back and gave  her a rather unsettling grin.
