"Jungkook! Hurry up we're gonna be late for our dinner reservation!" Jinjoo yelled.

"Hold on give me like 2 minutes!" he replies back.

19 year old Shin Jinjoo and Jungkook have been dating for about 2 years now, and today was his 21st birthday (ik he's already 21 but just go along with it).

"Ok I'm ready! Now let's go eat! I hope Jin doesn't get mad for not bringing him." Jungkook says worriedly.

"He does love his food."

After a 30 minute drive to Olive Garden, they finally arrive and are seated immediately. They quickly order their food, and begin to eat.

"So Jungkook how are your parents? I haven't seen them in so long." she asks.

"They're doing pretty well. I'm so jealous of them though cuz they're in Paris for their 23rd anniversary."

"Awww and that's so romantic!"

"You know, maybe someday you'll be there with me."

While trying not to blush she asks, "W-w-with you? Me and you? T-together?"

Even though the couple has been together for quite some time now, Jinjoo would still act awkward and shy towards Jungkook when talking about their future. But he found it cute.

"Why? Do you not want to, you know, get married one day?" he asks while playing with his fingers.

"Of course I do! I MEAN NO! I MEAN YES! I mean-"

He cuts her off by holding her hands, sending another wave of heat to her cheeks.

With a bright smile he says "Me too."

"How are your parents?" he asks as he continues to chow down his meal.

Immediately Jinjoo's smile started to fade away as she let down her fork on her plate.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry Jinjoo I totally forgot that-"

"No, no, it's okay. It's not a big deal." she replies trying to fake a smile.

Jungkook is the only one who knows about the relationship between her and her parents. Her mom worked as a nurse until she died from cancer when Jinjoo was 18 years old. Her father on the other hand was the leader of a mafia gang. As Jinjoo got older, her father encouraged her to join him and his gang, but she refused to do so. She didn't want to be involved in crimes especially with her dad. In fact she despised her dad since he was never there for her or her mother when she was sick. She blamed him for her death as her mom was supposed to live for another 4 months.

After deciding that she didn't want to be controlled be her father, Jinjoo snuck out of her house one night and moved in with Jungkook, though they weren't dating at that time. And she's been living with him ever since. From the night she left home, Jinjoo never saw her dad again.

The rest of Jungkook's birthday dinner was spent in silence, until the couple decided to walk and get ice cream.

"Hey listen, I'm sorry again for mentioning your parents. I just, I sometimes forget that your mom isn't with us, and that you don't like your dad, and I should know this by now since this is how you ended up living with me and ugh, I'm just so stupid." he says with a sad look on his face.
