DATE WITH DEATH (ii)

Niche: (crying) How could we let this happen?!

Alma: (crying) We should've been more careful! We should've been paying more attention! What are we going to do? He's dead.

Niche: I don't know. I wish there were something we could do about, but we can't.

Alma: We need to call the police!

Niche: We can't do that yet it'll ruin everything!

Alma: Ruin everything?! Somebody just died Niche!

The two of them looked at each other with tears dripping from their eyes. There's only one thing they can do without screwing things up anymore.

Earlier That Night

Josue, Alma, and Niche all entered the old abandoned house one by one. Chills began rolling down their spines as soon as they stepped foot into the cold, worn down house. Every single area of the living room was covered with specs of dust and cobwebs. No one has lived there for hundreds of years. Everything from the furniture to the architectural design of the house was ancient and out of date. What once used to be a fancy and luxurious place to live in, was now a prison where someone was being held hostage by a ruthless and insane killer.

Josue: So should we split up?

Niche: Oh yah totally. Hey why don't we hold a giant sign that says "Come Kill Me" while we're at it. Of course we're not splitting up.

Josue: Well then what should we do? Alex could be in any of these rooms.

Alma: My guess is upstairs.

Niche: Why?

Alma: (shrugs) We're living in a horror movie right. Normally when someone's being held hostage by a killer they'd be in a room where it'd make it harder for them to escape.

Josue: So upstairs it is?

Then suddenly, the three friends heard footsteps coming from behind them. Each of them froze in terror. They were afraid to turn around in fear that the killer would be standing right behind them holding a knife getting ready to slice them open one by one. Josue slowly turned around getting ready to defend himself and his friends at all costs. When he turned around, he was surprised to see who was standing right in front of him.

Josue: Karam? What are you doing here?!

Karam: I figured you were lying to me so I just wanted to find out where you were going. I've never seen you so scared and hesitant before.

Josue: Karam I told you to stay home!

Karam: I just wanted to know where you were going. Now that I've found out, I wanna know what exactly it is you guys are doing here.

Josue: Karam it's not safe for you here. You need to go, now!

Karam: I'm not leaving.

Josue: (rolls his eyes) Alright, but stay close to me at all times.

Alma: (whispers) Josue the killer told us to come alone. What if he tries to hurt Alex.

Josue: (whispers) That's not gonna happen. I'm not going to let anyone else get hurt because of me.

Alma: Wait. What do you mean anyone else?
