Today is the official first day of school. Day 1 of high school here I go. So let's see my looks didn't look as good as Roxanne but I look passable.
I spotted target number one as soon as I walk in the building. Luci. She always has to be the best at everything. Mind you her family has money to throw in the air so she believes everyone should be at her feet. She's definitely pretty but treats people like trash.
She was wearing a black skirt, a plain white top with checker van shoes. She looked really good. Her shirt was cropped so it looked really pretty when it went up a tab bit and showed her belly just the right amount, while her long curly blonde hair bounced up and down while she moved her hands to talk. She was definitely perfection in whatever she wore.
Me, on the other hand, look lousy next to her.
The next target was Marco. A total asshole. He only cared about himself and hurt anyone that approached him. Oh, boy did that boy glo up. He seemed a lot taller and his hair cut looked really clean. If I didn't know him for as long as I do. He would definitely be a crush.
As I walked by I see other people I know but then I finally found Azul. I haven't seen her all summer since her parents make her live with her grandparents in New Orleans over the breaks. She is the only person who has not switched up on me. She looked the same as always. Piercing green eyes, long straight hair perfectly brushed into place, simple jeans, converse, and a T-shirt. She seemed as chill as always."Azul!"
" Fatima! I have been waiting for you."
" I haven't seen you all summer, how was it? You have to tell me everything"She always had crazy stories to tell me and I loved it since it made time go fast. She proceeds to tell me about how she got to help her grandma with the family business.
" hold up? Why did you cut your hair?"
" I wanted something different. Do you like it?"I always regret asking if she likes something or if it looks good cause she is honest. Brutally honest!
" I mean it looks good but I liked your original long brown hair better. Your outfit is also different. Nothing like what I'm used to seeing you in."
She didn't seem to like my black and we white striped short pants, with a white skin-tight shirt with my white air forces. Yeah, I knew it was different but it was stylish.
" is that eyeliner?"
" yes! Do you like it?"Oops, again I asked.
" well I thought your face was pretty without it but if it makes you happy then I can't judge."
"Want to get some breakfast?" I asked trying to change the subject."Mhm, I'm craving waffles"
We walked down to the cafeteria which was really full and super loud. I noticed more people I couldn't stand.
As Azul and I sat down I received a message from my saying she was heading to my school to pick me up.
Um. I was very confused because she never picked me up from school and today was my first day so why would she need to pick me up.I responded by saying I would be waiting in the parking lot.
I said Goodbye to Azul and went outside. I have had no clue what was going on.
