I woke up that morning feeling better, I cried the whole night thinking about my mother and where could she have gone. I know Apollo promised to help me but I missed her so much, never have I dreamed that I will be a daughter of a god nor have I dreamed of being the bride of Apollo!
But I've seen too much yesterday that I believed it now. Pan walked inside my room bringing some fresh clothes for me to wear. "Thanks, Pan!" I told him as shrugs his shoulders playfully.
"The Master will have breakfast with you ...so hurry up and get a move on!"
"Am I still annoying you?"I asked him as he helped me fold the sheets. "
"Yes...well, you annoyed everybody!"
"Who's everybody?" My eyes widened when he said "everybody". Do I have that kind of impression on someone? Do I know them?
"Cassandra and Me..." He said as if it doesn't bother him that I am looking at him, shocked.
"Who's Cassandra?" I asked him. He looked at me as if I was crazy that I didn't know her.
"She's the Delphi of Apollo, you met her in the forest"
"Oh" I didn't know she had a name
"I thought the Delphi liked me, I met her she is very nice!" I told him.
"She hates you...she thinks you are taking the Master away from us which you are" He raised his right brow mockingly at me.
"...and you hate me because...?"
"Master never goes out saving anyone... the only one that makes him so anxious is Lady Artemis" He lowered his eyes and puffed the pillows. "He will do anything for her but..." He lifted his gaze at me "Why did he go to such lengths in finding you...he could have gotten another bride"
"...maybe because I am from the prophecy?"
"Perhaps, but Master never followed his own prophecies"
With that, he left me all alone in my room. Apollo isn't that bad, saved me. He saved me. I walked outside and found Morpheus leaning against the concrete wall. "Hey" He greeted me.
"Hey" I said back at him.
"Why the long face?" He said leaning towards me to see my face. I kept my eyes down, "Are you
going to tell me that you hate me too?" I told him, annoyingly."Why would I ?"
"Why wouldn't you? The Delphi and Pan think I am not suited for Apollo"
"hmm...well, that's their opinion and not mine. I think you are smart and funny so I think you will be a great wife to Master" He said smiling. Morpheus looked so innocent like a puppy.
"What did they tell you?" He asked me.
"Pan told me that he wonders why Apollo will do great lengths to find me"
"I see..." He spoke as if he is thinking about something else so I turned to him and watch him contemplating of what to say next. "The Master rarely saves anyone, he just sent us to do minimal work. He only gets work up whenever it is about Lady Artemis" he shrugs his shoulders.
It's because she is his sister. In my research, Artemis and Apollo are like two peas in a pod. Born as twins, they never want to separate with each other. I came back to my senses when we reached the great hall.
"Here we are!" Morpheus smiled "Eat well..."
Eat well? How could I? " How could I eat well when Apollo's there!?"
