"Peter... you got it the other way around... I'M the one who's lucky... before knowing you, I've always been afraid to let people know who I was... but now... you help me change that..." I said. He smiles at me and pulls me in for another kiss.

-Upcoming School Talent Show-

Y/N P.O.V

Well... it turns out entering this school as me isn't so bad at all. Everyone is pretty welcoming. I am really glad that I have finally decided to stop all the pretending. But of course... it's all thanks to Peter, who convince me that I should enter this school as myself.

Today is another day of school. I woke up early and get ready. I just have an apple for breakfast, since I don't really feel that hungry.

"Dad! I'll be leaving now..." I said as I walk down the stairs. "Okay! Have fun at school today, sweetie..." he said. I wave at him and walk out of my house. I jump back in fright when someone suddenly appears in front of me.

I smack his arm as he starts laughing at me. "Peter! You scared the sh*t outta me!" I yell at him. He just keep on laughing at me. I roll my eyes and walk passed him.

He instantly stops laughing and grabs my hand. "Alright! Alright! I'm sorry" he said. I try to pull my hand away, but he held it firmly. He pout at me. "Baby, I said I'm sorry..." he said. I smile and kiss his cheek. "You're lucky I love you" I said. "Yeah... very lucky indeed..." he said.

"Lets head to school now... we're going to get late if we stay any longer..." I said in which he responds with a nod. Then we start walking towards school.

It didn't take us long to reach school. When we get there, everyone's eyes instantly turns to us. Mostly the guys. They are looking at Peter in jealousy. I notice Peter slowly grows uneasy about all the stares. I stroke his hand as I turn to him. "Peter... just ignore them, Kay? Don't waste your time on them..." I said. He turns to me and nod his head, with a nervous smile.

Peter's never the type to like a lot of attention, well... except maybe when he's in Spider-man suit. But when he's the Peter Parker everyone knew... he just hated the attention.

After a while we finally made it to class. Peter and I let each other's hand go. I head towards my seat and sit down. The teacher soon came in and the lesson starts.

Time-skip

The bell rings, indicate the end of the lesson. We are all about to leave when the teacher told us to stay. I sit back down and look at our teacher, waiting for him to tell us.

"So... I'm pretty sure you all have heard about the talent show that will be held next week... and each class is told to send 1 performance... anyone who'd like to perform?" The teacher said.

I can dance and sing... but I hate being on stage. It's nerve wrecking. I'd rather be backstage and help organize things instead of being on the stage. So I just stay silent.

"Seems like everyone is hesitating... alright... I'll give you until the day after tomorrow to decide who will perform for this class... now you're all free to go. Have a nice evening everyone..." he said. Then he left the class.

I grab my back and stand up. Peter waiting for me by the door. I walk towards him and he grabs my hand softly.

"Why don't you perform, Y/N?" He ask. I turn to him, wide-eyed. "Heck no! I like to dance and sing for myself... NOT in front of a crowd... no way... nah ah" I said. He just laugh and wrap his arm around my shoulder. "Yeah... yeah... I get it... you have stage fever... it's a shame... I just thought it would be cool to see you perform..." he said. I just roll my eyes and we continue to leave the school ground.

Peter suggested that we should hang out for a bit, before he drops me back home. I agree with him and we start walking towards our chosen destination, which is at the park.

When we get to the park, we decide to take a seat in one of the available seats there. To my surprise, there's a guitar laying around.

"Wow... who's guitar is this? Someone must've lost it or forgot it here..." I said. Peter nod his head, and turns to look at me. "Baby... you know how to play the guitar, right?" He said. "Yeah... kind of" I said, nodding my head while looking back at him. Then he grins at me. My eyes widened as I catch on what he's trying to do. I begin to shake my head frantically. "Oh no... no no no... I am not playing the guitar... not in public" I said. He starts to pout at me. "Aweee... come on babe!! I wanna hear you sing! Pleaseeeee" he whines. I sigh and give in "fine..." I said, picking up the guitar and start adjusting it. I start to play some tune and start singing.

It feels like nobody ever knew me until you knew me
Feels like nobody ever loved me until you loved me
Feels like nobody ever touched me until you touched me
Baby, nobody, nobody until you

Soon the song ended. I jump when I heard a chorus of clapping sounds. At first I panicked, remembering what happened the last time I'm standing in the middle of a crowd. But then I calm down, realizing it's a different situation now.

I place the guitar down and stand up. I start bowing at everyone, showing my appreciation for them... because they all seem to enjoy my playing.

Peter walks up to me and pulls me into a kiss. "See? I told you it wasn't so bad" I said. I smile at him "yeah... and you're right... I'm just being paranoid... looks like I'm worried for nothing..." I said. He responded with a smile and leans in for another kiss, everyone around us starts to cheer even more.
