Prologue- Cake's Point Of View

The contestants were all standing in a line. One big long line of objects. Cake was standing in between Loser and Eggy, his teammates.

The host, Four, was standing in front of the line. He had a clipboard. He walked back and forth, inspecting them all. Nobody dared to speak. The only sound was the quiet tapping of Four's pen on the clipboard.

"Contestants," Four said after ten minutes of silence. "I am selecting a few of you to go on a…Special trip for me. X and I have discovered something. We discovered an ocean."

A few murmurs and clamours erupted from the line. Cake didn't dare to speak.

Four raised his hand. Everyone fell silent again.

"I will be picking…Four contestants from every team to go investigate this island for me. Here are the contestants that will be going…" Four walked all the way to the end of the line. Cake could no longer see him.

"Death Pact! I am going to send…" Four paused. "Pie, Bottle, Tree, and…Pillow."
Death Pact said nothing. Cake's heart fluttered. Pie was one of his best friends and he was happy for her. At the same time, he was nervous.

Four's footsteps were getting closer. They stopped. "A Better Name Than That! I'm sending Golfball, Tennis Ball, Basketball, and Grassy!" He announced.
"Wh- Grassy!? But…What if he.." Basketball sounded frightened.
"He'll be fine." Four stated, walking down the line.

"Ahem…Iance. This is a tough decision, but…I'm sending Bubble, Fanny, Match, and Snowball."
Silence. Nobody in Iance said a word. Someone sighed but Cake couldn't figure out who.

Four was now in front of Cake and his team. "The Losers…" He was staring at Cake, who averted his gaze elsewhere.
"Loser, Pin, Coiny…" Four paused. "…And Cake, you're going."
Cake's eyes widened. "What!?" He couldn't help but exclaim.
"You heard me." Four grumbled, moving down the line to Team Beep. "Beepers, I'm going to send Rocky, Woody, Balloony, and Leafy."

"Darn. I wanted to go." Cake could hear Nickel say.
"Too bad." Four told him, walking away. "Team Ice Cube! Gelatin, Bracelety, Barfbag, and Spongy are going!" He exclaimed.

"Can Icy go too??" Bracelety asked.
"We'll see." Four grinned. "Team *All Eight Names at Once*…Icy, Lollipop, Book, and Taco wiill be going."
Cake heard a groan that sounded like it came from Taco.

Four then went to the last team, Free Food. "Free Food, I will be sending Stapy, Foldy, Fries, and Bell on this trip. The chosen contestants need to go over there. There should be a large boat there."

Cake followed Loser to the designated area. "Don't worry, Cake. It won't be that bad." Loser told him with a smile. Cake couldn't help but smile back with a light blush.

The boat wasn't as big as Cake thought it would be. It looked sloppily done and broken, as if a child made it. Even stranger, it was on land.

"Is this a joke?" Book asked, her arms crossed.
"No. Get on." Four replied, snapping his fingers.
Next thing Cake knew everyone was on the boat and in the water.
"There's enough resources in there to last you about two months. Don't waste it." Four told them from the land. The boat swayed. Cake was shaking and huddled against the side of the boat where he knew he couldn't fall.

"Now, there's an objective." Four told them all. "I want you guys to find out what's going on in this mysterious sea and where it came from. Got that?"
Everyone said something in reply.

"Great. Oh, one more thing." Four grinned and prepared to snap his fingers again. "Good luck. Don't die." He then snapped for the final time and away went the boat, heading out to the sea.

Cake took one last glance at the contestants that were left behind. He didn't know when he would see them again.

He hoped it was soon.
