Chapt: 7

Silas Aaron

The motel lights shine bright outside our room. It smelt stink in the room but the price for it was nice for me. I only have $200 on me. I don't know how much magnolia have. I just want to get to my family home and see them. Not stay in some motel. But I'm tired as hell and I'm not letting magnolia drive us to my family house.

"Babe can you change the channel. You have the remote next to you"magnolia said. I took the remote and gave it to her. "Thanks"she mumble.

"We should get some sleep. We leaving around 7 in the morning"I said.

"7? Why 7?"magnolia complained. She's always complaining.

"Cause that's the time I want to leave mag. We can't leave around 7?"I ask.

"Babe. We already in Oregon, it's only gone take us 3 or 4 hours to your parents"magnolia said.

"I know. That's why I want to leave at 7"I said.

"Okay Silas"she said with a attitude then laid down. I wanted to ask her why she have a attitude but ima let that one slide.

I laid my head down on the pillow and sigh heavily. As I close my eyes bout to fall asleep, we heard a knock on the door. I sat up a bit looking at the door. "Who the fuck is that?"magnolia whispered.

"I don't know. Go to the bathroom"I told her. She hop up from the bed silently tip toeing to the bathroom. I got up from the bed and went to the peep hole. There was a man who looked like he was homeless. "Who is it!!"I yelled out.

"I-I need some m-money"he stuttered.

"Say man, you gone have to get the fuck away from this door before I call the police"I said.

"I-I'm sorry for disturbing y-you and y-your wife"he said. I heard footsteps walking away from the door. I look through the peep hole seeing nobody standing there.

"Alright Babe. It's safe"I said.

"Silas we can't stay here. It's dangerous"magnolia said. "A guy asking random people for money"

"I know"I sigh heavily rubbing my face. "But I need some sleep and I don't want you to drive that truck"

"I understand that"she nodded her head. She hop back in bed looking at the door. "I'm so scared Silas"

I hop in bed wrapping my hands around her waist. She buried her head into my chest. "Don't be scared. I'm right here to protect you"I felt her legs on mines as she tried to get comfortable.

"I hope no roach crawl on me"she said making me laugh.

Morning

We headed out early this morning away from that scary ass motel. I ain't going back there no more.

"I can't believe the motel was haunted"magnolia chuckled. "The homeless man was really a ghost"

"Yes"I nodded my head. "I can't believe I was talking to a dead person"I shook my head.

"Something to tell your folks"magnolia said.

"They ain't gone believe me"I said.

"Well ima tell them that it was real. I was there when the manager said there isn't no homeless people around that motel"

"But what if it was like a person who live next to us and needed money for like food or some shit"I said.

"Babe. You told me yourself, the person looked homeless"Magnolia said.

"Yeah he did"I nodded my head.

"So there you go. It was a ghost"magnolia said. I shook my head laughing at this girl. "I can't wait to meet your peeps"

"Me too. Haven't seen them in a while"I smiled once I turn down the road to my parents house.

"Oh god. We close"magnolia started biting her nails. "You think they still sleep. It's only 11"

"Babe. I'm sure they up"I smiled once I pulled up to the house.

But then my smile went away once I saw my cousin and his friend. His friend was my ex and she was stripper.

"The fuck she doing here"
