Hey guys it's me Phoenix here so if you guys haven't heard I started watching Ben 10 and it was amazing everything thing about it was just incredible, like it's now my second favorite Cartoon show next to Avatar: The Last Airbender which was number one. Like it's amazing I loved it and I loved Ben Tennyson he's really cool and pretty interesting I can't wait to watch more of it in the future. But this chapter isn't all about Ben 10, I'm actually going to be debunking Ben's first appearance on Death Battle Ben 10 vs Green Lantern. Now before we begin I just gotta say a few things I don't think the battle was too bad I mean ScrewAttack did do an amazing job with it especially with the music and animation I like it, I can already see the Ben 10 fanboys just being happy that I'm debunking this because they were really salty that Ben lost I can understand that but there are some DC fans who think Green Lantern wins. Personally I don't really care who wins but after seeing a debunk of this battle I can explain why Ben should've won but then again I can understand why they made Green Lantern win but I since I found out that there were some problems which we will be talking about later but like SethTheProgramer once said you shouldn't really care about the victor you should've care on how it's presented like for example okay we have Mario vs Link

If ScrewAttack says that Link would overpower Mario and win than that's fine I'm cool with that if that's what they think than that's what they think, however if they say Link overpowers Mario simply because Mario has no way to counter Link than I would have a problem like stuff like that is when they should be debunked even if it is your favorite character like another example. Aqua vs Erza Scarlet (Kingdom Hearts vs Fairy Tail)

I love Aqua more than Erza is because she's amazing her voice, her fighting style, her similarity to Sora, everything plus she's the most beautiful and the best female video game character of all time (at least in my opinion I'll tell you more about her in the future.) like Aqua is really hot (Yes I basically have a video game crush) don't get me wrong Erza is beautiful probably the best anime woman in my opinion, but in terms of one on one fights Aqua would gets slapped by Erza especially with her armor, don't get me wrong this is a close match it can go either way but Insee Erza winning the majority. Anyways if ScrewAttack says that Aqua wins than that's fine however if they say Aqua wins simply because she would stomp Erza because Erza isn't really that strong as Aqua than I would have a problem and debunk that, and that's how you shouldn't really care that much about the victor because I know that's what a lot of people do, but you should care about how the facts, the characters, and the presentation is presented. ScrewAttack has mentioned numerous times now that it is manly for entertainment, they that Wiz and Boomstick are just personas they're not trying to answer or make the final answer the Death Battle they're just giving their best thoughts, and yet people are like "Oh they're just being DC fanboys" or "Their biassed towards this character" which I disagree and if they say "Alien X stomps The Ink Tank is intellectual because he said Ben 10 can beat any character in fiction" than a lot of people would be salty so I'm completely neutral with Ben 10 vs Green Lantern I find this matchup pretty close, even though Ben should've won I'm still completely neutral. Anyways that's all I have to say so without further a do let's debunk this.
Okay so the first point they made is (Boomstick) While the Omnitrix's millions of aliens is just nuts, he could only use one at a time while Hal always has access to all of his powers. (Wiz) Even with the flexibility of Master Control, this meant Ben was always playing catch-up. Okay so technically in the fight Ben was technically calling the shots, plus over time Ben can transform into other aliens even if he already is one so technically Ben is has access to all of his power just as well as Hal was.
The next point they made is that Ben's Diamondhead form was tough, sure, but he wasn't surviving a planet exploding in his face. Last I checked Ben has other aliens that can survive planet explosions in his face such as Waybig and Cannonbalt especially Alien X. So what in the world are you talking about?
The next point is that is said right here in this popup Despite the Omnitrix's failsafe systems, it doesn't technically have a defense against removing limbs. Vilgax has even tried to take advantage of this to take the Omnitrix. However that's what the Omnitrix was for to protect Ben. One time someone tried to cut Ben's hand off and it failed it's even stated that cutting his arm off counts as the Omnitrix forcefully removed from Ben therefore the Omnitrix would most certainly counter Hal trying to cut his hand off. They even said it themselves that the Omnitrix can immediately turn Ben to an alien to survive.
The next point that was made is that XLR-8 was wicked fast, but not fast enough to cross the universe in an hour however Ben has an alien who can such as Jet Ray which can fly.
Another point is from this popup that says While a Ben 10 creator claimed Alien X could destroy a multiverse in "six thoughts," this is not supported in canon and is likely a joke. However when you ask the actual Ben 10 creators than you will learn that yes they can and no it's not a joke they just choose not to kinda like with Sonic's base speed being faster than light. This video even shows evidence.
The next point is that Well, not exactly. Celestialsapiens are extremely powerful, but they can be beaten in battle and have failed in the past. Like the time Alien X recreated the universe. He only did that because he couldn't stop it from being destroyed in the first place. How the heck was he supposed to know that the universe was being destroyed? He did nothing because he did not know what was going on and completely underestimated the stakes. In their Big Bang feat they mentioned they see Ben doing that very thing preventing an act of annihilargh from going off because he knows the stakes. They literally say he did something but later said he can't do. Therefore Alien X "failing" to save the universe doesn't add up to anything at all.
The final point in the video is that Alien X has never shown any defenses against the same kinds of things that Hal could replicate. Like mind control, transmutation and time manipulation. Ben and his alien forms put up a great fight and Alien X is easily one of the most powerful combatants we've ever seen on Death Battle. However Hal had the speed, versatility and literal willpower necessary to claim his victory. Okay so technically Alien X does have a way to counter this because when Hal goes back in time to the start of the fight, Alien X should've been able to scene it and follow him back into time with him. Alien X can time travel as well. So technically Alien X should've followed him back in time with him because he has the Sotobro Effort which can ripple the time stream created that can be detectable by those whose power is to have changes in the timeline so technically Alien X can counter this.
And thus in conclusion Ben would've won this battle I agree Hal outclasses all of Ben's options except for Alien X but Alien X was downplayed. Now I got my information from this video it did make some pretty good points
Despite the video I still remanded neutral on the outcome and I understand why Green Lantern won like I said this can go either way the only thing that should be noted is how the points and the character is presented.
