its been a few months since you and your girlfriend, hitomi, have been dating. hitomi was shy and awkward since you are her first boyfriend. even if its been a few months, she still gets extremely shy when you two do couple stuff. you didnt mind it at all, you found it all cute. today, hitomi invited you over to her house to watch a movie because you two really had nothing to do this day. you take a couple of breaths before knocking on her door.
"coming!" you hear that familiar cheery voice from the other side, making you smile. the door swung open, revealing a smol tomi wearing one of your hoodies.
"hey." you greet her, she smiles and hugs you. you were startled at first but hugged back. after a few seconds, you two pull away and walk to the living room where a bowl of popcorn and a movie was on standby.
"so what are we watching?" you ask, sitting down on the couch and grabbing a handful of popcorn. hitomi smacked your hand,
"yah! wait until the movie starts." she hisses. yiu back away your hands in defeat.
"okay okay." you say.
"were watching the new annabelle movie." hitomi answers, grabbing the remote to play the movie. you weren't fond of horror movies and so was hitomi, so you found it confused that hitomi chose a horror movie to watch.
there was a lot of jumpscares and scary scenes which startled you both, but you pretended to be not scared so that hitomi wouldnt be so startled, but then a scene came where a really scary jumpscare would come.
"if y-you're scared, hii-chan, you can lean on me you know... WAIT WHAT IS THAT-" you scream seeing the jumpscare and jumping off the couch and running off somewhere to hide.

after the movie was over, you and hitomi sat on the couch, eyes avoiding each other. it was an awkward silence but it was comfortable for both of you.
"y/n.." hitomi spoke, you turn your head towards her.
"hm?"
"i-i know that we dont do a lot of stuff together and i know that i dont express myself well but.." hitomi paused, looking as if she was thinking of the right words to say.
"i-i.." she smiles shyly, her hands shaking a little because of how nervouse she is.
"i-i lo-love you.." she admitted. you smile, a smile bigger than any smile.
"i love you too." you say. hitomi blushed, smiling shyly.
"i wanted to say 'i love you' for the first time without stuttering but i guess that failed." hitomi giggled nervously. you interlock your hands with hitomi's, making her stop giggling. hitomi's face started to turn red.
"hitomi, its okay. you dont have to feel pressured to do things that you're not comfortable yet with me. im fine with waiting and being with you makes me happy. you make me happy, so dont worry about it." you give hitomi a warm smile, making her blush more.
"..c-can you sleep over tonight?" hitomi asked.
"of course." you smile.
