𝙻𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚝𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚂𝚘𝚕𝚍𝚒𝚎𝚛𝚜

64 days

          64 days. That's how long it's been since Levi had last seen Erwin. Erwin had to leave on a trip on behalf of the Survey Corps leaving poor Levi all alone. He was miserable without the taller man next to him so when the news came that Erwin would be returning, he was more than happy.

           Levi counted down the hours until Erwin would walk between the doors to their room. He prepared tea and some sweets he had bought for the special occasion. When he heard a knock at the door, he just knew who it was. He excitedly opened the door and greeted the blonde man with a tight hug and a gentle kiss on the cheek, inviting him inside of the dorm.

           "Since when did you become a housewife, Levi?" Erwin stated removing his large coat, placing it on a nearby coathanger.

           "Tch, Perhaps when you decided to steal my heart.." replied Levi. His cheeks became red upon realizing what he said. "You should sit down, I prepared some tea and there are cookies that I had bought earlier."

           Erwin's smile had slowly changed to a slight frown. "I am sorry Levi but I'm afraid that I can't stay for long, I have an arranged meeting with Pixis regarding some plans for a future mission."

           Levi's heart sank a bit hearing those words come out of Erwin's mouth. He really wanted to spend time with Erwin after all that time apart. Erwin had took notice of Levi's faint reaction.

           "Levi, please don't be sad" Erwin reassured him "It's going to be really quick, perhaps later we can go on a date I had planned" wrapping his hands around the smaller man once again.

            "Fine..." Levi said slightly blushing. He waited so long but it wouldn't kill him to wait a bit longer.

             Erwin went along his way, meanwhile Levi got some cleaning done. A few hours later, Levi had already gotten dressed for the special evening Erwin had planned. Erwin arrived in a horse drawn carriage. Levi saw through a window and noticed the blonde man had arrived, making his way to the carriage. 

            "Tch.." Levi hissed as a result of the cold weather touching his pale skin. It was colder than it would usually be but he had simply shrugged it off and got into the carriage. He once again greeted Erwin and they held hands along the way to the destination. It was already perfect in Levi's opinion. Suddenly along the way, the carriage had stopped moving.

           "What is the matter?" Erwin asked the coachman.

           "Sir, I'm afraid we can't go any further... Snow is covering the path, it would be too dangerous for the horses to continue on..!"

            "I see.." Erwin replied looking at Levi. He was looking down, water filling his eyes. It was obvious to Erwin that Levi was looking forward to the evening and is hurt upon realizing that the special night out had been cancelled. Erwin sighed before coming to the conclusion that they are better off returning back to their dorm. 

           Upon arriving home, Levi immediately got off the carriage. They walked straight to their dorm, Levi retreated to their bedroom. Erwin still had an urge to make this night special for Levi. Simply to make up for the lost time between them. He walked to the small kitchen and noticed the two cups of tea, now cold, and the small bag of what he assumes is the cookies earlier mentioned by Levi. Erwin walked past the bedroom door, he heard soft cries coming from the room, and he knew what he had to do.

         Levi heard a small knock on the room door, he pulled the covers over his head and cleared his voice. "Come in.." he stated with a small voice crack. Next heard faint footsteps around the room. " What the hell is this man up to??" he thought to himself.

         "You may look now, love" Erwin said laying down on the blankets he had set up.

         Levi pulled the covers off his head and saw that Erwin placed blankets and pillows on the floor near their small fireplace. He had also placed tea scented candles around the room to set the mood. 

        "I am sorry that we couldn't make it.." Erwin said looking down. Levi crawled off the bed then next to Erwin and cupped his face.

         "Don't apologize, it was not your fault" Levi whispered, a pink tint now on his cheeks.

         Erwin smiled, pulling Levi into a hug. They cuddled on the blankets and told one another stories of what happened while they were separated, including a time where Hanji nearly killed Moblit by mistakenly knocking him down some stairs. It was perfect. 

          "I missed you," Levi whispered pulling himself closer to Erwin.

           "I know" Erwin replied kissing his lover's lips. They later fell asleep cuddling.

         Bonus:  The candles accidently caused a mini fire which led to Levi and Erwin moving in with Hanji and Moblit temporarily.

this is my first eruri fanfic that I publish on here *tries not to fangirl*
