*6 Years later; Age: 17

Death Date: June 13

Months until death: 10

It's the start of September, but also the start of Jonghyun and Min-woo's last year in high school. Will it only be the last year of high school or will it be the last year for them?

Jonghyun was loving and dreading the start of school, but he was happy that'll be the last day he'll hopefully have to deal with any bullying. Over the years, from when he first entered school to now, he had learned to love the extra appendages attached to his back with the help of his best friend So-young. A few weeks before the start of freshman year, Jonghyun, not wanting to be bullied any more than he already was, cut off his wings leaving behind a bloody stump that was covered with layers of bandages. But over the years, he learned to accept that it was apart of him and that will never change. However, he likes to wear oversized cardigans or sweaters over his wings until he gets home.

Ever since the suicide of his mother, the only family that ever loved him, Min-woo was transported to an orphanage where he was even more ostracized. Nobody wanted to adopt a 12-year-old boy with horns, in the shape of antlers, attached to his head. Min-woo became even more closed off, starting fights with the children or helpers which lead to a series of transfers between orphanages. Tired of transferring from orphanage to orphanage, Min-woo decided to fend for himself if nobody would do it for him. Using the inheritance money from his mother, he bought a cheap apartment far away from the orphanage he was staying at. His trip landed him in Hannam-dong, Seoul, where he will not only live in but also attend a nearby school to finish his last year in high school. Now to actually attend the classes....

Both males walked on their appropriate streets which differed in looks, one was clean and filled with small shops while the other was covered in trash and shady alleyways.

Jonghyun was joined on his lonely walk by So-young, his best friend since middle school. They talked about what they had done over the summer and what their futures would be like after school ends. Their journey ended once they passed through the metal gates, both separating after a short hug and a promise to sit together during lunch.

Min-woo had already given up by this point, given the fact that his mood was already ruined. Helping an older lady had led up to him running after a burglar which then led him to be late to his first day of school. What a great start...

Jonghyun walked through the door and into the classroom full of rowdy students who seemed to instantly notice him as he walked in fully. Being stared at by so many students made him self-conscious, his wings slightly ruffling inside his sweater. Ignoring the stares and whispers he was receiving he made his way to the back right corner of the room. He sighed once he reached the seat before smiling and glancing towards the large window that was right beside his seat. 'At least I'll have a great view to look at to rid my mind of any negativity...' Jonghyun removed his jacket, letting his wings stretch out slightly behind him. The class grew silent but that didn't deter Jonghyun who continued to place his jacket on the seat and sitting down. He shifted his head to look towards the window where he noticed the gates beginning to close. He looked up, noting how beautiful the sky was looking today,

"HI!" Jonghyun kept looking towards the sky, thinking that the greeting wasn't for him.

"Hi!" the voice greeted him again, except this time it waved a large hand in front of his face obscuring his view of the sky.

Jonghyun blinked once, twice, and once more before trailing his eyes up and towards the figure who was greeting him. He made eye contact with a tall figure, his hair immediately attracting his attention due to its startling, but beautiful, blue tint. The male had a piercing with a long silver earring, his features differed from the one he's seen so far but there was one thing Jonghyun was able to notice. 'He's beautiful.' His eyes seemed to close into crescents, his smile the form of a rectangle, his skin smooth as a baby's butt, and his jawline seemed sharper than a knife. I snapped myself out of the daze I was in, realizing that he was greeting me.

"O-oh, uh, Hello!" I greeted back awkwardly with a polite bow at the end which he returned back.

"My name's Taehyung, Kim Taehyung but my friends call me V. The person behind me," he stepped aside revealing a smaller male who squeaked before looking down shyly but still greeting me with a bow and a small smile." is Jimin, Park Jimin. He's shy with strangers, but that isn't why we came here! You seem like a really nice, unique person and we just wanted to ask if you wanted to be our friend." Both the boys grinned by the end of Taehyung's small speech, their gaze expectant.

Realizing their intent, I gave them a shy grin before nodding my head. "M-my name is J-Jonghyun, Kim Jonghyun and I-I'd really like to be your friend."

"Great!, then from now on, we'll be the bestest friends so call me V or whatever you want. We'll even introduce you to our group of friends during lunch." Grinned Taehyung, hooking his arm through Jimin's and sitting in the unoccupied seats in front of me. They shared grins with me before turning around and facing the teacher.

"Settle down! Ok, let's start with introductions."

*TimeSkip*

A loud bang of the classroom's door interrupted the teacher's introduction, my head head turned towards the door. My eyes fell upon a hunched over boy, his breath coming out in pants meaning he must've been in a rush. He stood up straight after one last breath, a hood was over his head, but that wasn't what got my attention. His eyebrows were turned down as well as his lips forming a scowl, his eyes glaring at anybody who dared to make eye contact. Ignoring the teacher, who was sputtering about him being late, he walked towards the back of the class. His head was hung low, but his eyes were glaring at all the students he passed by. He stopped by the seat that was 3 seats away from where I was, throwing down his backpack before roughly sitting in his seat. The teacher let out a sigh before continuing what he was saying, already giving up on the rude encounter he had with the new student.
