Kimberly's POV

"Mommy! Mommy! Wh-Where are you?", A five year old little girl ran towards her mother sobbing.

"Mommy! Why are the bu-bu flies so baddie? They left the beautiful flower after drinking her nectar. I hate bu-bu flies", She clutched onto her mother muttering how mean the butterflies or in her words the bu-bu flies were.

The mother smiled at her daughter's innocence and wiped the tears oozing out of her emerald orbs. "Sweetheart! The butterflies are not mean. They love the flowers just like the flowers love them."

"B-But Mommy! Then why are they leaving them?"

"My little baby, the butterflies bring out the best in the flowers and the flowers are the eternal companions of the butterflies. Look! That yellow butterfly. Can you see it Kim?"

"I don't like the meanie. She'll leave the flower again. Bad bu-bu fly", The girl replied grumbling.

"Kimmy! My lil Kimmy!" The mother sighed. "You won't understand a word I'll be saying but since you are so stubborn lemme tell you, the butterflies take the pollens from the flowers and spread them all around. That is what one does when they love someone, they spread their radiance all around. Show them the world and tell everyone about them. Your bu-bu flies are doing the same thing for those flowers. That is love baby. Love always brings out the best. Got that now? The butterflies are not meanie", the mother stroked the little girl's head softly as the latter nodded happily.

"Mommy when will I meet my bu-bu fly? Papa said I am his little flower. So when?' The little girl asked with her eyes twinkling as she jumped in excitement.

"Not anytime soon my little flower. You are not meeting any butterfly of yours until you are thirty no wait! Until you are fifty years old. Not under my watch." A man in his 30's with the same emerald eyes picked up the little girl and spun her around.

"But papa I want to meet my bu-bu fly now!", The little girl giggled.

"No butterfly for you Kimmy. Now come on let's go, you forgot about the little surprise we planned for mommy."

The screen went black.

"Oh my freaking god!" Natasha started laughing like a maniac. "Th-that was Oh god! Bu-bu flies seriously! Kim you were no wait you are still so stupid! Who believes things like that?" Nat continued laughing like a fool.

I glanced at the black haired idiot beside me who was smirking as if she was amused at the situation. "Megan!" I whined. "Please stop her."

"You were cute back then Kim. But bu-bu flies. Did you find your own bu-bu fly yet lil kimmy?", She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.

"Ughhh! I honestly hate you both!" I exclaimed. And this time Nat fell from the couch laughing but the worst thing was that Meg too started laughing.

After waiting patiently for what seemed like eternity my patience weared off. So I did what any sane person in my place would've done. I grabbed a bottle from the fridge and poured it over their head.

Now imagine what they were feeling considering it was a cold winter morning here in London. I smirked at my handy work and rushed off to my room locking my door. You see after living with these idiots for 5 years I knew it was grave mistake to leave my door unlocked after pouring chilled water over them.

"Bitch open up already! Sooner or later you are gonna die!" Nat shouted while banging on the door. I plopped into my bed plugging my earphones in response.

Okay let me introduce myself. I am Kimberly Chloe Grant, a 27 year old Cardiac surgeon. I have waist length wavy auburn hair with the deepest shade of emerald orbs. I am 5'5 with a petite figure. I am an average looking person but Meg, my best friend begs to differ. She says that I am really beautiful but I am too blind to see that. Everyone has their own opinions and I don't agree with hers.

Nat, that is Natasha. She is a few months older than me. And she is a well renowned neurosurgeon. At 5'7 she is the tallest one in our group and the only one with model like body. She is someone whom every woman envies. She too has waist length straight jet black hair with blue eyes.

Meg a.k.a Megan is 28 year old.She is a dedicated OB-GYN and the shortest one in our group at 5'4. She has shoulder length raven hair with greyish black eyes. You'll always find her lecturing everyone about accepting themselves and always knowing that they are beautiful no matter what. But when it comes to herself she is hella insecure. But putting aside her temper and obsession for oreos she is beautiful inside out.

Me, Meg and Nat have been best friends since high school. We clicked as soon as we met and have been together since.

Okay enough with the introductions.

I slowly unlocked my door and put out my head to make sure none of them were standing outside my door planning ways to kill me.

When I didn't see anyone I heaved a sigh of relief and started tip-toeing downstairs. As I entered the living room I saw Natasha reading her unfinished research paper and Megan stuffing her mouth with oreos as usual.

I approached them cautiously. Just as Meg saw me she mumbled something like "You want some?" Though it sounded more like, "Meo man mum?" I laughed at her and decided to join her.

**************************

"KIIIMMMMBEERLYYYY!" Megan shouted as she entered my cabin with Natasha looking at her bearing an annoyed expression. I gave Meg my best glare in response to which she sighed and said in a baby voice, "I am hungry!"

"Wanna know what she did? She screamed my name in that annoying manner while I was talking to my patient's family. Those people were so shocked to see a doctor behaving like that", Nat glared at Meg while the latter looked at her apologetically.

Megan really forgets about everything around her when she is hungry. And I knew Nat's anger was justified so I glared yet again at Megan. And this time she looked like she actually wanted the ground to open up and swallow her.

"Cmmon guys! At least you don't have an idiotic asshole Adrian Castello as your boss", Megan exclaimed wailing her arms for a dramatic effect causing me and Nat to burst out laughing.

Dr. Adrian Castello is Meg's archenemy. They both hate each other with every single cell present in their body. Meg had her internship with him as her supervisor and they have been fighting like this since forever. It's true that they hate each other but then, they won't even leave each other's side. They always bicker with each other but they understand each other perfectly.

"You do know that you both act like a married couple". Nat commented breaking my trance of thoughts. And I couldn't help but agree with her. In my mind I've been shipping them since forever.

"Shut your fucking mouth Usbourne. I would rather marry a dog, or I'll die single but that imbecile? Nah! Never in my whole life." Meg grumbled.

"I agree with you Nat, they do have some potential together", I grinned.

"Just like you and your bu-bu fly Noah have a potential together", Meg spat in distaste.

My smile faltered. All those suppressed emotions came back rushing just after hearing his name. His mere name caused my mood to change from happy to confused to sad to conflicted. I closed my eyes trying to forget all those unwanted memories.

As if realising what she said, Meg clutched her coat and whispered slowly, "K-Kim I-I didn't mean to. I am sorry!"

"It's okay idiot. I am over him. It's not like his name is killing me or anything." I smiled well more like I tried smiling.

Nat just looked at us with a blank expression, while Meg with her apologetic look said nothing. Deep down I knew that they knew I was lying. But they knew it better than saying anything.

Because after all, Noah Jacob Clayton is the man who made me fall for him without even trying. He is the man who broke my heart without even knowing.

 NOAH.

The man whom I've been loving ever since I found out what 'LOVE' means. But never once did he look at me like that. Because I Kimberly Chloe Grant, I am nothing but a family friend to him.
