Ow. This hurt. My head felt like it was going to explode. I opened my eyes to find that the windsheild had been broken by the tree trunk. I guess that I been so focused on leaving that I hadn't paid attention to where the car was headed. I turned to find you, your face was bleeding. I almost forgot where I was. It appeared that your nose was broken, I guess you slammed into the dash from the impact. Part of me hated to see you like that, but another part felt satisfied. I had finally gotten the better of you. I tried to open my door, but it was jammed. I kicked it, punched it, and even tried screaming at it. It wouldn't open. I decided to jump in the backseat, and try the passenger door. It opened, but with a really loud screech. I saw you stur, but I didn't stick around long enough to watch you wake up.

I planted my feet on the ground, assessing the damage. My leg was bleeding. It felt like it might be broken. I had to go back to the house. I needed to tend to this before I took off on my own. I also needed supplys. I locked the door, and went straight to the bathroom. I saw the towel rack on the floor, I stepped over it. It looked like you had spit blood on the floor. I was suddenly really happy. I found some bandages, and I taped up my leg. I went to the closet and grabbed a bag, I threw about three days worth of clothes in it. I went to your room and found some money hidden in a pillow Then I went to the kitchen and grabbed another bag, I filled it with food. I turned to find another set of keys on the counter. I grabbed them, and went to the garage. I found the car, it was red, and really small. I think it was a volkswagen. I jumped in the seat and turned the key. It sputtered and died. OUT OF GAS! I had just gotten a chance of ultimate escape, and the car is out of gas. My luck was awful.

I had to get out of here. I ran to the forest behind the house. I found a path. I followed it for what seemed like forever, then it disappeared. I kept moving though, I wasn't stopping for anything. Night quickly fell. I became very tired. I forgot to get blankets, or even a weapon. I didn't know what lurked in the darkness. I opened the bag and brought out clothes, and made a make-shift pallet on the ground, then ate a small dinner. I laid down, waiting for sleep. I didn't know how far away from you I was. I guessed at least a mile. Since the path had stopped, it would be impossible for you to track me. I hoped all this was true. I might have been delirious, but I thought I saw your shape creep out of the shadows. I let sleep take over.

I woke up to the feeling of a soft rain on my cheeks. I sat up, my back was aching because of the ground. I had to grab a tree branch to help myself up. I stretched, then I looked down at my leg. The bandage was brown, and the blood had seeped into it. My entire leg felt like there were tiny swords stabbing into it. I knew that this was a sign of infection, which was the last thing I needed right now. I needed to get to a doctor. My head still hurt, and everything was blurry, or I would see shapes that weren't really there. I saw Paige, my parents, even my english teacher. I had to get moving, I didn't know what time it was. I needed to find a town before dark.

I started to feel sick. I puked on the ground, then fell. I was too weak. I didn't want food. The thought made me even sicker. I tried to stand again, but fell back down. This was it, I was going to die out here, either from infection or some wild animals eating me. I suddenly wished that I hadn't left you, I shouldn't have left. Now, I was going to die alone, and weak, and injured.

I'm not sure how long I laid there. It had started to rain again, and the sky turned a gray color, indicating that night was coming, and with it, my potential death. That's why when I felt my body being lifted off the ground, I smiled. I felt safer than I had. I didn't know if I was dead, or if you had come to save me. If you had somehow found me after all these days, after the trail had ended. If you knew me that well to know which way I would have chosen to take. So when I turned to see the hands lifting me, I wasn't suprised to find your beautiful blue eyes staring back at me.

Your face was bruised. Your nose was broken, and your hands looked wrapped up, I guess that you had tried to get out of your door and you cut up your hands while you did. I was so happy to see you.You whispered "it's okay" to me as you carried me back. I was happy to know that I wasn't going to die alone. That if my luck changed, maybe you would die first, maybe I would be the reason you died.

Regardless how I felt about what you did to me, I was thankful that I wasn't alone anymore. So escape number one can go down in the books as failed.
