Newt Imagine

this is when it gets good :) PART 3

They look from each other to you and keep going back and forth and finally Alby speaks up and says “We can’t tell anyone yet. It would cause chaos. Knowing that there is a way out would make everyone run into the shucking maze and killed by the Grievers and that doesn’t do anyone a bit of good. We need to plan first.” Just when he said all that Thomas was coming in to check on you that you were ok. “You have to tell them! They have a right to know. If you don’t tell them I will!” Thomas said turning to walk out. Alby got up and grabbed his arm turned him around and said “You tell them Greenie their blood is on your hands when the Grievers go and kill em or sting their shucking butts off and we don’t have enough serum to make all of em better and from what your girlfriends note said we won’t be getting anymore from the Creators! So we need all we have right now and even if there is enough, the Changing never leaves you the same you aren’t right in the head!” he finished looking at Thomas like if looks could kill! Gally speaks up and says “Why leave at all? I went through the changing too and I don’t like this shank I don’t trust him! I saw him! And I saw what it’s like out there and we are better off here! I don’t know what you all have planned but I’m staying. Things aren’t good out there so we are better off here if you ask me.” Now Newt spoke up and said “Gally things aren’t that great here ever since the other girl came up the plants have been dying and the water is running out so how will we keep the animals? Not only that what can be out there that is worse than being trapped here with those Grievers!?” You looked at Newt all while he spoke and thought ‘What other girl? What is up with the water? Does Newt like this other girl? He didn’t sound like it but I don’t know what to think anymore.’ You put your head in your hands and start to sob. Now this got all of their attention you never cry, literally never you are known for it! You force yourself to stop and look at the boys. Your boys, well maybe this new girl has taken them from you. This thought make you cry even harder and then Newt, Gally and Alby come over to you and engulf you in a giant, smelly, hug with you in the center and you breathe in their scent all of them. Gally smells like sawdust and sweat, Newt smells like the pond water and a bit like fruit, Alby smells like mostly just sweat but there is a hint of Frypans cooking in there that makes you remember how hungry you are. When your stomach growls they all back away and all smile at you. “We’ll go get you some food.” Alby says then they all start to walk out you grab Newts hand “Stay?” You ask gently your voice hopeful. He sits down on the bed next to you and looks down into your eyes and his expression hardens as if he has just remembered something. “What are you thinking about?” you ask looking at him. He is so beautiful how could you not have noticed before. He looks about to say something but then closes him mouth and shakes his head. He is quiet for a little while then looks into your eyes like he is searching for something then speaks “Why did you do it Y/N?” he says with tears in his eyes. You are shocked by the question not knowing what he means. “What do you mean? Why did I do what?” you ask he looks to the ground and his face flushes as if he so desperately wants you to understand so that he doesn’t have to say it for himself. “Why would you be… with the Greenie? Y/N I love you! I have since I came up from that bloody box! And then for him to speak about it in such a joking light as if it meant nothing! Why him?” he blushes as though he has just realized what he’s said. You are shocked and happy and have so many emotions flowing through you it’s like you are on high. You come back down long enough to say “I love you too Newt. But you should know that nothing went down with Thomas and I.” you said calmly looking into his big brown eyes. ”Ya but Thomas said…” he starts only for you to cut him off saying “I know what Thomas said Newt I was there too remember but it wasn’t true. He was only trying to break up my and Minhos’ argument. Absolutely nothing happened between us at all.” You look into his eyes imploring him to believe you. Suddenly his lips are on yours and you feel so happy that you feel like you could fly and take everyone out of this shuck place and be free and yet so sad that you pull away. You see that he looks hurt and it breaks your heart to say the next things but you know it’s for the best “Newt I’m not ready yet. I do love you but I will need some time after all this with Minho I need a while to get over that. I may not have been in love with him but we still had something between us and.” You sigh and continue “I just need some time that’s all. We have waited this long what’s a little longer? We can take it slow for a while.” You say and he smiles and holds you in his arms for what seems like hours but then Gally and Alby come in with some food from Fry and you see that he made your favorite, (a

comment your favorite meal you would have Frypan make for you.) pot roast with potatoes and gravy and rolls. You finish quickly and then decide now is the best time to ask about all the stuff that has gone down in the last couple weeks. “So you all said something about the water being shortened and the plants dyeing. And then what is this about another girl?!” Gally looks from you to Newt who is still sitting on your bed and says “Someone’s jealous. Ya the water is running out and we got another girl. She came with a message a day or two after you went under. She held a note when she came up that said… what was it again Newt?” Gally asked and Newt dug around in his pockets until he came back with a white piece of paper and he handed it to you and you read it ‘SHE’S THE LAST ONE. EVER!’  you must have looked puzzled because Alby quickly started explaining “The box hasn’t gone back down ever since that girl came and we should be getting a refresher for out supplies by this point but no. Those shucking creators just want to sit back and watch us flounder and die.” Well that killed the mood. If there was ever a mood to kill but still so in trying to make light of the situation you said “Well worse comes to worse we can always eat a griever.”  When that didn’t work you asked “Is she pretty?” looking down at your hands in your lap not wanting to see their faces when they answer but you do sneak a look at Newt only to see that he is smiling at you. When he does you look up at the rest of them and see Alby and Gally looking horrified. “That bad?” you say and then you all bust up laughing at once. When you finally stop you look at them. You look at your boys and feel so happy to have them all to yourself.
