Part 6

You and Newt make your way back to the Glade and before headed back to your jobs you give him a small peck on the cheek and turn to walk off to see Minho but Newt grabs your waist and spins you to face him and gives you a small peck on the lips and hugs you around the waist with your head on his chest and his head on yours and he whispers "I have loved you for so long. I will wait for as long as you need. I'm sorry I didn't understand before but you were right if I care for you I can wait for you. Just please keep in mind that I have already waited so long, I will wait as long as I can but I can't wait forever." He pulls away, looks you in the eye and kisses you cheek so gently you swear it may have been the wind, you walk off to find Minho 'GREAT' you think 'THIS WONT BE AWKWARD AT ALL! MY EX IS NOW MY CO-WORKER! SPLENDID! BETTER TO DEAL WITH IT NOW THAN LATER.' You get to Minho and he acts like nothing ever happened between you two. He is completely neutral to your presence. Other than telling you to be careful he acted totally normal. Although The Ultimate Sass Queen didn't make any of his usual jokes, puns, or tease anyone today. You started to wonder if this was how he was gonna be now. You ran your section of the maze in record time and on your way back you saw a Griever. You still had a long time till the doors closed so you followed it quietly, sneaking along walls and in the ivy on the walls, eventually you see it go down the Cliff like it had done it a million times. You run back to the Glade only to see Alby with his bow and arrows walking from the Deadheads with Thomas in tow behind him like there was an invisible rope leading Thomas to Alby. You run over to them because Alby only brings out his bow and arrow when there is trouble. You remember that Ben recently went through the changing and the look in Albys eyes when he looks at you stops you dead in your tracks and you know Ben is gone. You had known Ben, he was a good kid, everyone liked him. Wait why was he here he was supposed to be in the Homestead getting taken care of. Him what about the girl!?!? You run to the homestead up the stairs and into her room to find her gone. You look in all the other rooms but can't find her anywhere. You start to panic when you hear the boys all yelling outside and run to them only to find that the girl has climbed up the treehouse you, Alby, Newt and Gally built a couple years back. What the shuck was she doing up there?! Then you see why the boys are yelling. She is throwing rocks at them and naturally your first instinct is to protect your boys so you run to the treehouse and take to ladder climbing up like a monkey. You surprised even yourself with the speed and desperateness you climbed with. When you got to the top you look around for her only to find her huddled in a corner with a knife on you. You look her in the eyes and say "Hi there. My names Y/N I'm glad you came I have been the only girl for about 3 years now and it's kinda getting old talking to Gally about who has the cutest butt." That got a laugh out of her. That's a good sign you think to yourself. "What's your name?" You ask she hesitates but eventually answers "Teresa. My names Teresa." Hmmm nice name, you look at the knife and she must notice because she puts it back down. "Mind if I join you? I have a couple boys I wouldn't mind taking out." You say half jokingly. You sit next to her and say "See that one there? With the dark skin?" You ask pointing at Alby "He is the leader of this shucking place and needs some lightening up I say we aim at him first then after him we go after Gally. He is the one with the scary wicked eyebrows." She looks at you like you just gave her the world on a silver platter. You being confused at her staring at you ask "Can I help you with something or is my face just so attractive you can't stop starring?" You say putting as much sarcasm as you can muster into it. She gives you a small smile then says "WICKED is good." She picks up a rock and chucks it at Alby. You decided to let her little laps in supposed mental health slide for now and join her in tossing rocks down to the boys below. Thomas must have heard about the ruckus and came running over yelling "stop, stop it's me it's Thomas!" She stops throwing to peer over the edge and so do you. She looks to you with a look that says can I have a minute with him. You nod to say you understand and start to climb down the ladder. You hear Thomas shout that he was on his way up now so you hurry down faster. You wink at Thomas as he makes his way up and he just rolls his eyes at you and your supposedly pathetic gesture that you found to be actually quite hilarious. When you reach the bottom Newt is there with a grin of pride on his face that could put anyone off. As he stands there smiling you see an angry Alby and Gally whispering and glaring at you evilly you try to run off but Newt grabs your wrists and yells back at them "I got her boys whenever your ready." You look up and see Teresa looking down at you with a worried expression plastered on her face plain as day. You smile evilly at her and remember the self defence Gally and Alby thought you, but decide to save that for later so you turn to Newt and give him an evil smile and turn around pulling his face to yours and kiss him with as much passion and heat as you can manage without giving into him yourself. You pull away, give him an evil smirk, show him your wrists that he has now released and take off running for the Deadheads. You could hear Newt, Alby, and Gally calling your name and running after you but who knew what they would do if they caught you. You knew they wouldn't hurt you, at least not to bad. They knew you could take your lickings, you had beat almost every Glader in a fight and sure you had been sent to see Clint and Jeff a few times but you never made a fuss of it, and usually were a rather a good sport about it considering that some of the boys cried like a baby when they got a paper cut! Any who here you are in the Deadheads in desperate need if a hiding place and knowing that hiding behind a tree wouldn't do any good at all from the last time you tried 😚 then you looked up and saw a BeetleBlade and that gives you an idea. If they can live up in the trees and not get caught then why couldn't you. The you remembered how good of a trencher Alby is. You swear the boy is part dog. So you decide to save that and fighting back as a last resort. Thinking quick you lye down and cover yourself completely with leaves and dirt and bark and pray that your plan works. You hear them coming and try to relax and hope they don't step on you.
