The winged insects and the ant,
Are happily resting on the plant,
Deeply engrossed in their dream,
Feeding on Oreo biscuit's tasty cream.
Quickly,one fly feels its tail being tied,
"Caught!" It thinks, "that too by a child!"
Its dark green eyes protudes with jealousy,
Only to sit in an empty container,received as a freebie.
Now, the child runs home , before time flies!
Imagining the colourful picture in the book
Where the fly tastes a healthy fruit.
But alas! The container drops,
The fly flies off...
And in the end she reaches her own sweet house!
I wrote this during an activity in my English class. The activity was to use the words wings, plant, dream, book, health, child, jealousy, time, end and happy and make a poem.
