I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I read an "into the reader", I don't imagine myself as that character.
I create a new character in my mind and name her Y/N for some reason.
I know that this isn't the purpose of into the reader! I know that! Believe me, I do!
But I can't help but do that!
And then I ship that character with the person I'm reading the into the reader of.
