the next morning, jamal wakes up to someone knocking at his bedroom door. he turns and sees that hunter is in his bed with him.
jamal : hunter?? what're you doing in my bed???
hunter : i got scared... who's knocking at the door? it's 6am, who would be up at this time?
jamal opens the door and sees danya.
jamal : oh. aren't you a little sleep deprived?
danya : aren't you a little stupid? we need to talk.

danya : so the first thing i do when i wake up is go talk to jamal. him and a lot of my friends went against me last night and i can't let that happen.

jamal and danya go out on the balcony as the sun rises and lean against the railing.
jamal : what is it?...
danya : i'm gonna need you to come with my side today and try to escape these woods.
jamal : no! you heard what i said yesterday.
danya : but you don't understand, we have to be on the same side.
jamal : we're not on the same team this time. and that's fine.
danya : fine. but my side is gonna come for yours when we vote. if you don't join us, you better watch your back.
jamal : my side will do the same, henny... i think we ALL need to watch our backs.
jamal walks away and danya rolls her eyes.
