TIME SKIP TO THE WEDDING

sarah's pov

today was the wedding. my older sister, jenny was getting married to some rich soccer player. i hate soccer but hes a really nice guy. a perfect match for jenny.

weddings are kind boring not gonna lie. i was going to be there for the food. and jack of course,

i was ecstatic to hang out with him all day.

i got out of the shower and blow-dried my hair. i slipped on my pale pink dress that complimented my tan skin and auburn hair.

makeup.

i hate makeup, but this was a special day for my family so i put on a little bit of mascara, blush and lipgloss.

i looked pretty smexy.

i pulled my hair into a half up half down updo and curled it.

i walked to my room and grabbed my super spicy heels. they were silver and super sparkly.

they didnt really match my dress but oh well.

it was time to start heading over to the venue. it was at this rental barn thingy.

on my way out to the door, i saw jack. he was lookin pretty sharp.

"hey." he said.

"you look good," i blurted out.

oh man.

he blushed. "thanks" he said with a laugh.

"also lets not tell anyone anything about last night, ya know?" i said.

"of course" he held up his pinkie

we did a little pinky promise before walking out the door and getting into the car.

the wedding ceremony was outside. it was so boring, yet so cute. i was happy to see jenny happy.

after some pictures (which was actually 2 hours of pictures yikes), we all made our way into the barn which was so aesthetic.

fairy lights, flowers, all that jazz. everyone sat at the tables and waited for the food.

"this is getting so boring" i whined at jack.

"oh stop being such a baby" he laughed

i looked up at him and laughed.

"can you guys just date already?" asked luke.

"what? no, go away you little spaz." said jack nervously.

luke smiled as he walked away.

jack was blushing so hard. "im so sorry about him-"

i started laughing. jack laughed too.

the toasts came. they were boring.

all of the parent's speeches and all of that was boring too.

but the food was so good. the cake was good too.

the dj had my sister and her husband come up to the dance floor to dance. it was so cute.

it also made me sad that my older sister wasnt gonna be around all the time like she used to.

i remembered all of those nights where we braided hair, talked about boys, face masks, even our petty little fights.

it made me tear up.

then the dj had all of the other couples to slow dance.

i was sitting there awkwardly when jack turned to me and asked, "so, do you want to, um dance?"

he was an awkward mess. it was cute.

i smiled. "of course!"

he took my hand as we made our way to the floor.

i put my right hand on his shoulder and he put his left on my waist. or free hands joined as we began to sway to the music.

the song was my kind of woman by mac demarco. it was the best 3 minutes 11 seconds of my life.
